I legitimately like the look of all three combiners, but with no nostalgia factor for Victorion (not yet, anyway), a complete Menasor already, and an 80% Superion, I can't justify the expense.

I need a job that pays more...and includes shelving in the benefits package.

    Bless this man:bowdown: .
Frankly, Hasbro KNOWS this won't sell like hotcakes, the price on a giftset is restrictive of that, but they ALSO know being the ONLY set like it would kill it too, so releasing it along with the G2s makes sense. And frankly, its BETTER than the G2 sets in that it will actually be able to stand correctly and pose with its superior ANKLE TILTS :p .

(Look, with the third party options being $30+shipping at best, might just look at this thing as an obscenely overpriced addon kit with a free combiner that I can paint up / add detail lines to. Yes I'm aware everyone's millage may vary but frankly with the Subscription Service being ANOTHER repaint combiner and no Decepticon deluxes outside of the Scramble City eight versus the daggomn seven seasons of Autobot Sentai teams, I'll take what I can get and just learn to be creative.)

Hmm...Victorion...I don't hate it, but it disappoints, because it doesn't scream fem-bot in any meaningful way. New head-sculpts slapped onto male bot-bodies just doesn't work. Even MP Road Rage will have new biceps & thighs to soften it's look over Tracks, and I thought that was minimal.

They don't need to be Barbies, but there's nothing wrong with having some expectation of these things looking remotely feminine, and in a less nauseous color-scheme. Even warrior-women, as these appear to emulate, have some curves. Of course, they're not organics, but even among non-humans, there's such a thing as sexual-dimorphism (gender differences). Their over-bright appearance is just so jarring. I understand that a unified color-palette was their goal, but adding a third or fourth color might have helped.

It is interesting as a curiosity, but what worries me is that limited Hasbro resources (and product slots) which could have gone into other more popular Combiner groups went into this. It would be a shame to not get the other Technobots, or Predacons, SeaCons, and Terrorcons, because of Victorion, though admittedly, Hasbro's marketing strategy is often elusive.

The best thing about them is that they aren't stereotypical fembots, many of them are more than just new headsculpts but even then most of these forms were quite androgynous to begin with.

Yeah it would be such a shame if we didn't get another ten all male combiners instead of the first female Combiner. Fuck all those combiners they have all been done before, this is something new and as for Hasbro marketing being elusive this is them throwing a bone to female fans and trying to do better at representing them. They said so explicitly in the USA today article.

One thing they got right and should have done from the start is each weapon combines to make the combiner weapon.

I REALLY, REALLY hope this thing flops.

Hasbro needs a mean, hard punch in the face, sales-wise.

In no way should this HALF-ASSED, UGLY toy be considered acceptable as a piece for collectors, which despite the occasional song and dance about the new limbs in each team "being cool for kids" this line is really purely for adults. And it started out strong, but just turned into absolute shit.

no its not.. otherwise all the combiner would have their own mold, well painted and available as giftset instead of selling them individually.

    Devastator is for adult...

I agree with everything you said. They don't have to have giant knochers, be pink and have high heals to be fem bots. I don't think that Roadrage looks anything like a female. it looks like a young man. Like a man in his early 20's.

Maybe they should have let us vote on the colours too.

You know I would have much rather they used Dragstrip and Offroad as the cars because they've not been overused and they’re much more sleeker than Breakdown and Deadend. I'm okay with reusing Alpha Bravo twice but could we for once have the mold re molded somewhere else give us some new arm weapons or something to change it up.

I know I spammed option A. I'm guessing everyone who voted option C is bashing in their heads at this point. That paint scheme is pretty much the only thing keeping Victorion in the maybe category as all tge other complaints about this are generally stupid.

Ie: No, this didn't effect something else being made. No, it was never going to be all new molds and I don't know why the fans thought it would be when we voted on the molds they'd use. Yes, they are female, because if Strika can be so can these and many of the molds were pretty androgynous to begin with. Not every female figure needs to be Arcee shapely.

The Kryptonian writing used in comic books has a corresponding alphabet code that's been published before. I believe Cybertronian has something similar. I remember people translating the graffiti from Metroplex's decals when he was first released.

Bludgeon is a samurai, not a ninja.

    Yep...

    :lol

    There's a $55 difference between the two.

Yes like that. Not like the mess we got. That color choice made us think that the Teal would be the main color and the Red and Silver would be secondary colors. Instead we get 1/2 Red and 1/2 Teal with very little Silver except for the hand, boots, and weapons.

I honestly think this set was done terribly. Not because it's a Female combiner, but because it's a gaudy mess. The hands, boots and weapons are cool, but it's like bling on a turd. Windblade was a wonderful figure and it looks great in both modes. I'm sorry, but when the G2 repaints look better than the Fan bot, someone screwed up.
