I think they made something for everyone and I'm glad they pulled some good stuff out their hat.

But, as much as i was excited for Victorian.... That paint scheme is horrible. I REALLY hope they change that. I would've taken chromia and the gang's paint schemes. Shoot, even an Elita1 as the torso would've been cool

 

white and pink wouldve looked the best. white and any color would also work. or red, white, and blue. no fucking aqua.

 

No Technobot limbs.

I feel like going into a coma for a decade or two and hoping things are better when I wake up.
I shouldn't be so pessimistic. After all, they said as much that Predaking would be the next one to consider, and "no plans" sometimes means "no plans at the moment but we could have that as a plan in our next set of ideas".
Still, starting to get the sense that Combiner Wars is very over, and the Headmaster gimmick next year will mostly be replacing it. Though that doesn't make sense because so far Titan Wars have all been larger figures. I dunno.

 

My biggest disappointment is there is nothing new beyond Skylinx.

I'm very disappointed to see no official Computron reveal (Scattershot looks fine, torso not so much).

The Titan wars leaks is looking like it will be dragged out a bit.

At this point it does indeed seem like Combiner Wars is over just as it was beginning.

 

It appears Hasbro frontloaded a good deal of the Combiner Wars reveals at Botcon (which is the way I feel it should be). As far as Scattorshot goes, I don't think Hasbro would've put money into retooling Silverbolt into the Technobot team leader if they didn't have plans for deluxe Technobots. Hasbro can be "stupid" sometimes, but they are by no means that "stupid." And I think Superion's head would work if they just bothered to paint the black helmet red.

To be honest, I'm disappointed by the absolute lack of Titan Wars reveals.

 

I think it's safe to assume we'll get Technobot limbs. It's just that if Scattershot is representative of the team, they might well be poor ones. I'm taken aback by that figure. I felt that if Cyclonus was any indication, we'd get some pretty heavy remolding (because Silverbolt being retooled was also a safe bet). It's just bad. No way around it.

 

They've just given more business to Perfect Effect etc.

Scattershot looks ok, it's very baffling why they retooled the bot/vehicle mode so much but left the same head there. They only needed a new face and color then done passes as Computron.

 

They probably could work some magic. A bigger nose-gun to fit on. Obviously a new combiner head. New accessories. A bummer that doing a new combiner chest without being a non-integrated part would be tough.

 

Well their Superion addon kit is a shield that doubles up as a new chest part. To be honest Superion and Computron look very similar in torso mode, it's a shame that they didn't retool the torso also.

 

Scattershot could've been better...no new legends reveals surprise me...G2 looks good but I'll have no need for them...was there G2 versions of Powerglide and Blackjack I missed...I can see Technobots coming later...Wheeljack > redeco/tool = Lightspeed, Brawl > redeco/tool = Nosecone, Afterburner = new mold (someboty should get a new mold) and Strafe could be a new mold or a hopefully heavy retool of an Aerialbot limb...

 

I thought Beast Wars anniversary was coming up. Must have been mistaken.

 

No kidding, I'm going to need third party add ons up the ass for Scattershot to be acceptable. No new torso chest OR head? Fucking really?

After this panel I'm suddenly liking my Quantron a lot more now.

 

Yeah. One hand, it sucks. Other hand, money saved.

Better than I could have said it. A bit more brutally honest too. I'm sure some people wouldn't accept "4 jets and a helicopter" as Superion, but when Hasbro calls "Scattershot with any 4 limbs" something other than Computron and everyone loses it.

Has it been stated where the G2 Superion and Menasor sets will be made available? Are they an exclusive anywhere?

Going to be honest, with maybe the exception of Victorion everythings pretty good, heck even she might be great once we know more about her. My problem with all this is what with getting new figures of the G1 crew AND mtmte comic inspired characters one of the few who overlaps noth groups is Ratchet and lord knows he needs an updated figure!

 

They're online retailer exclusives (so BBTS, TFSource, HTS, Amazon, etc.) and are supposed to be out early 2016.
