g2 menasor is so so so aweful/awesome!!! cannot wait to have it in my collection. scattershot, very dissapointed. i love the silverbolt mold and i know they probably did what they could, but unless the technobots do come out (please please please), this one will be an easy pass. damn.
and the more i am looking at victorian, i am warming up to her. if she is going to be an online only exclusive, then it is probably for the best. i don't see these fllying off the shelves. and also, if they are online only, then i am almost 100% sure these will clearance out sooner than later (bbts piranacon).

 

The mold is fine for Scattershot, hell, the way the front of the vehicle mode flips to the back of the robot mode is exactly like Scattershot.

A new mold would of been nice, but it's not far off at all. I'm certain he will have new combiner head also, even if he doesn't 3rd party's will give him a new one.

Really need to see the other Technobots though.

 

I will probably get the G2 Wildrider just because he looks so spiffy in yellow.

I passed on G1 style Superion, but G2 style, now we might be onto something...

Definitely skipping the G2 and G2 colored combiners. Scattershot may or may not be a sign of more things to come. Either way I'm in no position to declare that Hasbro has given up on Computron just because it wasn't announced at this convention. I mean I didn't see the G2 stuff coming at all. Gotta have something new to announce at every convention I guess.

 

Oh god oh god oh god... more money just left my wallet in the future.... but I do hope Scattershot is indeed a "Beta"; and that the rest of the Technobots are on the way...

 

Not sure if anyone knows this but Hasbro toys are manufactured in little Chinese "sweat shops" where they only get paid 17¢ per transformer toy that hey build

 

The crappy inferiortoRTSCyclonus could get tons of retooling for the combined mode but the first real Scattershot in years got practically nothing? Uh, wow.

Scattershot really doesn't look bad, I mean, I knew it was gonna be a remold from the start. And I get the hate of the combiner head, but it looks like Computron anyways.

 

Whats with the Eye-sore Vomit Inducing color choices of the Female transformer combiner team? i'm sorry but they look generic as all getout. Wingblade looked like a Masterpiece in comparison.

these colors are just so generic and flat. and sadly it really deters from all the details of the molds that were used.

Hasbro must have saved millions of dollars making all these zillions of repaints. I can't believe how stupid they think people are these days. they aren't even trying anymore.

 

A bit underwhelmed overall.
The reusing of the limbs with just minor retooling has me reaching my saturation point for combiner wars figures.
No beast combiners. I'm glad then to have Unique Toys finish my Ordin/Abominus set in the next few months.
As a big Computron fan, I was REALLY hoping for a reveal here...Instead we get a half retooled Silverbolt and no limbs.
Guess I'll be saving up for a Warbotron purchase 

 

People can say what they want about the color choices of G2 Superion and Menasor but I am super stoked for them. Can't really say anything about Victorian since she doesn't look finalized(that Dead End retool looks mighty like Nightbird though).

What's to say about Betatron other than it will be quite disappointing if we don't see the rest of Computron in a later wave.

Well it is possible. When Cyclonus was shown they didn't have a random combiner limb version of Galvatronus on display.

Well the G2 combiners are going to be sold as giftsets, unless you meant on the secondary market.

I actually will probably get Scattershot just not going to use the combined form.
The G2 sets are determined on price & where they're available at.
Victorion is a maybe too but I need official and then in hand images to determine that trainwreck.

 

This is all... unexpectedly disappointing. No predaking? Scattorshot's reuse of Superion's head (I can't think of a precedent for Scattorshot's combiner head being a placeholder, but you never know I suppose)? No further technobots? I certainly don't want to come off as 'entitled raging fan', but as a consumer/lover of tfs it is disappointing, and whilst no doubt the choices make corporate sense in some way, I can't for the life of me see how: technobots at least could presumably be remolds of existing figures, so why skip them for the sake of a fan built combiner or the 84 cast, or Galvatronis even? Would the technobots really sell less strongly to the generations market/s? Predaking I could see a case against making, but (admittedly as a complete outsider to hasbro's market info and cost structures) not much of one.

As fan reaction seems to often be furious no matter the news/figures it's hard to get a proper gauge (and the degree to which these are the core buyers of the figures isn't that clear either), but combiner wars seemed to have been a hit, and it's hard to see how the news coming out of SDCC does anything other than erode that good will rather than capitalise on it. (one other thing - why release a cartoon starring product that's no longer on the shelves? Not that I'm complaining about that).

There's a few unanswered questions that it'd be nice to find out in the context of the above: who will sky linx and brawl be remolded into? Will takara do something drastically different about the technobots (or will hasbro just do them, but later)? If cw has been a financial success, might figures like predaking be included in future lines (like titan wars - though you'd think most of those figures will have been planned already)?
