I think they made the right call using the FOC Grimlock as a base for the RID15 remold since the FOC Grimlock mold's design works in better for the RID15 Grimlock design since RID15 Grimlock evokes more of Godzilla and has thicker proportions then TFA Grimlock who looks like a cartoony modern styled T-Rex who's a little more lean. That said I would love to see the TFA Voyager Grimlock toy be in the TAV line somehow like repainted as Overkill,T-Wrecks or even BW Megatron with a new head.

    From what I understand:

TAVS03 Strongarm (original) VS Phantomjaw (Steeljaw recolour) Set.

    TAVS04
Sideswipe (likely original) & Stepper (apparently a Jazz recolour) Set.

TAVS05 Drift Origin & Jazz Battle Mode Set.

TAVS06 Strong Arm Battle Mode & Sideswipe Battle Mode & Fixit Set.

I hope Takara reengineered the shoulder hinges on Battle Grimlock or reinforced them. The ratcheting points were tight while the hinges themselves weren't supported very well, structurally.

Does TAV-21 Optimus have the weapons from the previous Warrior figures? Also, how retooled is TAV-33 Optimus compared to TAV-21?

TAV-21 is 'normal' Prime, his default appearance in RID2015.
TAV-33 is 'upgraded' Prime as he appeared in <Battlegrounds, Part 2>.

Let's clear this up once and for all.

Tav-21 is how Optimus appeared in RID season one when training with the primes up until the season finale when he was vastly upgraded, the toy includes all weapons for the warrior class autobots out so far (at least the ones that either currently or will presumable at some point in the future use decepticon hunter weapons).

Tav-33 represents prime's upgraded form as of the season finale, this is the form he actually appears in on earth, and is likely how he will look for the remainder of the show as he is now at least a semi-permanent cast member. Tav-33 has a remolded chest, head, shins, forearms, and shoulders at least, and appears to include both the prime decepticon hunter, and two undeployed regular decepticon hunters.

"Modern styled"? I think you mean "correct styled".

That Drift looks pretty damn good. I can't tell if it is because of the colours or that this is just "art" and not the actual product yet. But that head is a definite winner.

    Yep.

Just realised that the placeholder pics for the Legion Bumblebee and Sideswipe are actually pics of the Hasbro ones from Seibertron . com! The vehicle mode pics for BB and Strongarm are also of the Warrior toys.

    Very strange.

Well there's the Drift I know. A ronin-like warrior, not a shogun. Color's right, too. I'll probably keep it as a member of the Circle of Light.

Yeah Black Shadow was released as Sky Shadow during the tail ends of the 2010/2011 Generations line.

I still think its weird that a Takara Japanese G1 character got a Hasbro toy release first and it took almost 3 or 4 years for a Takara release.
