I think I'm in for the remolded Grimlock, and that remolded Drift looks pretty fine as well.

 

If Jazz does indeed have his visor. Then I am totally buying that two pack with him and Drift.

 

That's what I thought about that picture! I have OCD so you just saved me 30 mins of my day that I would've spent flipping between this pic of Jazz and the original Adventure one while squinting and trying to find any differences. Thank you, sir!

 

May still get the Grimlock, even though I am not buying any of the new cartoon line since I already have a stack of FOC Grimlocks.

Find it interesting that Frenzy/Rumble are so much cheaper than their original releases if that is the molds that they are using and not some error. Probably bought, even though the mold is full of kibble.

Black Shadow is going to force me to track down a United Thunderwing. One of the few United figures I decided to pass on. At least it can be had cheaply.

 

Well that Foc retool doesn't look bad, but still wished they had gone with the Animated version. Aesthetically it works better and you could use Swoop and Slug as his former buddies.

Drift does look better in those colors and with the new head, but really have no interest in the character at all. Still waiting to see if Jazz will finally get his visor or if it's just a new deco.

Everything else is just eh for me. Probably would be interested in Black Shadow a few years ago, but just kind of lost interested in getting that mold lately.

 

So, is TAV 23 Jazz a stand in for a repaint?

Wait..............now I need both version of Prime. And I like that he comes with his sword.

That is just so awesome I wasn't really into that Jazz but that new car deco is amazing.

 

Now if only they would make a Scoop-remold Thunderhoof, or maybe there's a motorcycle-mold to turn into Fracture, or... I don't know. But they'd have to be stupid to not make more 'Cons.

It's remolded to look like he appeared in the final episodes of Season 1 for RID.

Wow. We need to catch up on that.. We have a bunch of episodes on our dvr. I didn't realize they hit the end of the season already. He looks like a combination of BH Optimus and RID15 Optimus.

 

They haven't anywhere but Australia, the Australian iTunes versions have been made available here for anyone to download.

 

Why do people dislike Jazz so much? He's essentially the same engineering as the Prime RID Bumblebee, and while the toy's simple, it's still effective. And Jazz actually holds together better. Superior to his US wave-mate Sideswipe in that regard. In either case, if the final version has a visor, I'm all over it.

I really don't know where I stand on that Drift, because he looks rad... but he doesn't evoke Drift in my mind. I saw a suggestion as Yoketron, and I think I could get behind that.

That Grimlock's pretty inspired, but I want to see fully-painted shots before making a judgement.

 

So Drift gets an IDW-inspired repaint, Rumble&Frenzy get (cartoon-accurate) rereleases, Black Shadow finally sees the light of day, and Grimlock gets a larger toy. Can stuff be any more awesome than this?

 

I want Rumble & Frenzy and that Optimus.

 

I'm happy with how that Drift and Jazz combo looks. Now if only we had a picture of that Sideswipe and Strongarm combo.

There are two others that I'm going to get.

 

Oh wait, so that's FoC Grimlock as RID Grimlock? I thought it was the other way around. That's really weird.

I'm pretty sure it's Sideswipe and Jazz (as Stepper). Strongarm is already in a two-pack with "Phantom" Steeljaw, as well as repainted into original RID Rollbar alongside Grimlock.
