Dammit. I was going back and forth on the 3-pack but these pictures sealed it, I must get them! Fantastic shots, guys. I especially like the double shot of the girls climbing all over Devastator, very clever!

As for Devastator - I decided I'd just get the retail version, since he's probably going to wind up in combined form most of the time. I might pick up a 3rd party upgrade or two (I see Dr. Wu is doing G1-styled weapons for the individual bots, and elbows for Scrapper) if they're not too expensive, but I plan to paint him to add details, so I can't find a reason to spend more than the base figure.

I'm liking the girls much more than I thought I would. SDCC Devy.... the individual modes are where he really shines so I may pick it up strictly for the alt modes, while I keep the Takara version in individual bot modes (for the improved articulation/joints), and the regular retail Hasbro version in combined mode (with 3P upgrades). Triple dippin' y'all!

I'm still confused so the SDCC one has no visor and the US retail one does?

The review I have seen for US retail version has visor but this one doesn't.

    That's exactly how it is.

Woah dude that's going to cost a lot of dollars...I hope you'll be satisfied.

Those really are gorgeous, and the over-size weapons look great with them battling against Devvy.

GREAT photos. I have to say, this was my favorite gallery of SDCC Devastator. The quality of the photos and the gallery system at TFW2005 is simply the best.

Just curious - did Hasbro send you these to promote the toys? I don't remember this happening in years gone by, but it seems unlikely that ALL of the major TF sites got their hands on SDCC Devastator at the same time ...

Ehhh... That shiny purple looks atrocious on that figure. The chest armor doesn't match with the other purple except for the bottom left leg's purple paint, which looks equally just as bad. I prefer a visor for Devastator.
I'm happy I'll be sticking with the Hasbro one, if TRU ever gets their game on.
Those Fembots look wonderful though. I'll get them one day, when I can get the cash for them.
Oh, and one last thing, great pictures as always TFW! Best Transformers gallery on the internet!

I wonder if its cheaper pre-ordering SDCC exclusives now or waiting for post-SDCC? I really want those fembots.

RE: Hasbro sending - yes they did. They have done so in past years, sometimes in full, sometimes not, and sometimes they arrived here after I had already left for SDCC. This year luckily they arrived early enough to shoot.

Indeed. But I got a nice little 5-figure windfall recently so some splurging is in order. :D  Got some new glass curio shelves too so display space won't be an issue either.

I figure with a rare project like Titan-class Devastator made up of Voyager-class Constructicons, HasTak deserves to get my monies to fund future projects going forward, including any possible Masterpiece combiners (hopefully with Shogo Hasui once again on board). :D  Three different versions means I can display them in all three modes; alt, bot, and combined.

Thanks, though it's proving to be a lot of time and effort to get everything where I want it to be, not to mention sweat and muscle moving all the units themselves (which are not light, by any means). Dusting off older toys with brushes and wiping down glass shelves with Windex, then carefully rearranging figures -- it's all a huge time sink (pun intended; luckily I took the whole week off from work) but I'm appreciating my whole collection (both TFs and non-TFs) a lot more now. It's coming together though, slowly but surely! I think ToyHax is going to be getting quite a bit of money thrown their way as well. :lol

Wow I'm totally stoked on those fembots! I have the Hasbro Wind blade (in opened still) & the Hasbro and Takara Arcee already too but never bought chromia and I'm totally in LOVE with these decos! If I can get them for around 90 -100 bucks I'm sold! Don't these come with.a comic? I'm subscribed to all IDW TF comics but my supplier doesn't know if they're getting the combiner hunters comic in yet. Anyone have info on that? Thanks

I would pre order now or buy as soon as they are out, with pre ordering as first option if you really want them, only cyz you never know how many they will produce or the demand for them. Plus the secondary market could be like 150 ...OUCH ! lol

I'm in for a set because I am in love with the decos and I like how they created content in story form for them ;)

The detailed pictures make it plain:

    1. Solid plastic wheels
    2. Giant gaps on the inner legs and arms
    3. general lack of detail and articulation

It looks like a knock off. It has to be said. I am sure I am not the first and I wont be the last, but somehow I expected more.

Okay, after checking those fembots again, I must say that I'm really tempted. There's something about that combination of colors that really appeals to me.

I like Windblade the best, the whole red scheme suits her pretty well and the blue sword looks fantastic.

Seems like most people like these Fembots. The vehicle modes don't look bad but over all I think not. I just went over the pics again and still think............Yuk.

I haven't read each post here but has the price been announced for SDCC Devy or the fembots? An article on Kotaku listed Devy at $180, which isn't that bad of a markup for an exclusive of that size. The fembots are $75 which seems a little high to me.

Is it wrong for me to say that after looking at the Hi-Def pics that the Constructicons in bot and alt modes look worse???

In Devastator mode he's fine to a a point. But in bot mode the clunkyness shapes, the shear bulk and the hollowness of the limbs is what kills me on this!! for now i have the Takara pre-ordered and I'll wait untill i see pics of takara's version of Devy to pull that final straw.

Only if Hastak could have done something like Hercules or Giant.
