Encountering one bot team repeatedly that is wiping the floor with my team of spinisterx2/skalor/starscream(gen). Bad enough I lose every pvp match, now the bot battles are unwinable for me. I keep facing the arcee/g2 megs/g2 optimus/rook team, so very, very not happy.

I don't even want the bots this time (not a fembot fan), but trying to give my league some points, and failing miserably, is really disheartening.

 

I have already given up the belief that the "timeouts" are caused by dishonest players. I believe it is caused by connectivity issues.

But it irks me immensly, that DeNA cannot fix it. Like there is this last round, Player A has 3 units, wins FS. Player B has one half dead unit. Player A goes first, kills the last bot on the other side. Player A's units cheer and jump and cheer and jump and cheer and *bang* "you have timed out" "Errror fadsfjlkasjfdsalk3rr4j3lk5rj5rkj43l5j423l5kj".

I am no programmer, just an ordinary office rat, but is it really so hard to evaluate the match in Player A's favor and even if his connection dies, why can't he at least get the points?!

I've been playing Brave Frontier for a year now. That game counts damage done, sparks done, units defeated by element/tier, items dropped... since the start. TF:BT can't effing give players the points they have just won.

 

I'm using the same team and doing OK with it. I've had a few a few battles where Starscream's evade has made all the difference. (Evade bug working to my benefit for once.)

I just started building a second Spinister who will probably replace Bat.

Ironically, I think I've been having more success with targeting lately. Particularly on the 2nd+ rounds.

 

i just wasted over 1000, out of boredom, got basically nothing...

 

Yeah, it's a happy day when the Evade bug works in my favor. It's especially effective with bot teams because they aren't smart enough to stop using multi attacks.

That's interesting about Targeting. Maybe I'll give it another try.

I agree that timeouts are not caused by dishonest players (at least not all the time), as I've had games timeout when I have one bot left standing and the other team is poised to win.

 

I'm at the point where I don't want doubles of any bot. There's no reason to have a 2nd or 3rd team because I have enough cybercoin to speed up repairs. I think it's more fun and interesting to use singles of each bot instead of doubling up.

The only exception would be a combiner. Even if I got all the components for Defensor, I still might want to keep my Hot Spot intact.

 

I still say we're getting tier 6 bots really soon. Precisely because we're reaching capacity on tier 5 bots.

 

Also, did anyone notice that there are Lio Convoy cores in the resources area?

Why does Lio Convoy turn into a truck?

 

Tested something out today. With my higher hp team of Spinisterx2, Skalor, Starscream(Gen) I was getting unbeatable bot matches in pvp. I switched back to my old team of Spinister, Vortex, Skalor, G2 Ramjet and now I'm facing teams I can easily beat like Bat Prime, Rattrap, Jetfire, Brainstorm.

From what I'm experiencing it seems like the lower HP team is facing much easier teams. If I switch back to my new team I get those unbeatable bot matches again.

 

You should be able to win vs any bot team with your better roster. What abilities / strategy are you using?

 

Usually just Respin all/Targeting2/Jammer/Jammer2. No strategy against those teams of Arcee/Chromia/Windblade/etc or Chromia/Rook/G2 Prime/G2 Megs. Those are the teams I face when I use my new team and I haven't won one battle against them yet. I constantly get poor rolls when facing them, never get FS, and they Always wipe at least one of my bots Before I get my first shot out. The old team though puts me against one big baddie and three easy bots.

 

Respin all is a waste u should be using respin 1. Also use draw fire 2 towards your highest hp bot. The overall strategy should be fs then target 1 or 2 one bot and keep repeating that. U have 4 fs bots so if you use 3 respin one you should be able to win fs. Also don't use the ms for any bot, focus only on max attack.

 

He's on Cybertron, so he transforms into a vehicle mode instead of a beast mode. Plus, FunPub wanted to use the Orion Pax mode for all its worth.

 

Is Windblade only available with the bot battles? I haven't encountered her with any of the pvp battles...

 

That failed miserably against a team I should have beaten. By replacing my jammers with draw fire2/respin1/targeting one/targeting two I was screwed when I had to respin two units, then used targeting one, and the other guy used jammer and targeting two. My team was left wide open for his targeting two, taking out both my spinisters before I could take out one of his bots because he was jamming my targeting one. Even though I had FS both rounds I lost because I had no jammer and he did plus was using targeting two.

Or did I misunderstand and that setup is maybe just for bot battles?

 

I didn't mean to get rid of jam 2. It's that I don't know if u need target 2 or target 1. You should use respin one, tsrgrt, jam2, draw fire 2. I know during the stronghold a lot of battles you only needed target 1.

 

Aaah ok, I did misunderstand then. Without any jammer I was so screwed. Might work most times in bot battles without a jammer, not for live battles though. Will give it a go later on once I fully recharge.
