Just got another Yamato 1/60 VF-19F.

 

Your Macross collection must be massive! If those uniforms are still available, mind hitting me with the link too? Are they only 1/60 or are thee other sizes?

I actually prefer the VF-19 Advanced than the Arcadia YF-19







and this leg panel thing is just freaking awesome






Really fill in the leg compared to the YF-19



I transformed the YF-19 after leaving it in Fighter mode for a long time and now the YF-19 has loose ankle joints

That leg filler mechanism is awesome but the leg silhouette has skinny Frontier syndrome. I like them big ass Macross 7 baseball bat cankles.

 

Yes! Tom is high as a kite   I transformed it back to fighter and what a pain in the ass... The arcadia YF i can transform in like 3 minutes.

 

I feel the VF-19 Adv is better proportioned than the YF-19

I enjoyed the transformation part of it, the arms are easier to put together than the YF-19, if doing without super parts I can transform the VF-19 Adv in 3 minutes give or take

 

It has a more aggressive(angular) look and the battroid is more streamlined, but I like the cankles on the YF-19 and the way the cockpit/radome looks from the top in fighter on the Arcadia.

Nonetheless once I have enough funds I'll most likely buy the Bandai over Arcadia. I would LOVE to see them make a VF-11. I think they could pull it off and give us that thick legged silhouette. And but ass tailfins and Kinryu kamikaze attack armor.

 

Wha? The arms transform in the way, if anything on the bandai the legs need to be at angle when trying to fit them back under the shoulder parts and then pushed in. Every time i tried pushing the legs in it would move the gerwalk joint one click down.  

 

with super parts or no? with super parts its more challenging for sure, without it's easy

Quite surprising considering how well their Soul of Chogokin are regarded. I kind of feel like the designers of the Macross toys took the same approach that Aquarion went. While it looka pretty much screen accurate, they didn't pay too much attention to physics. That toy required a stand 24/7. While these can stand by themselves, add in the armours and its probably best to leave them on those stands.

 

Wouldn't doubt if they were the same designers too

 

May I ask where I can pre-order this and what time? (is it 12 midnight PST?)

 

Unfortunately, their SOCs have their own levels of issues and shenanigans from figure to figure...
