Just gonna say that Defensor is my favorite CW set so far.

 

You can probably email or call HTS to cancel that order and reorder them again.

Good idea. I called to cancel and made another order with rook in it. Best thing to do is make the new order then call to cancel so you don't miss out.

I used a 15% off HTS coupon and got the protectobots. I'd still love a blackjack, but the best price I can find is $22 and that's pretty steep.

Intel ops

Hey guys, does anyone know if Intel bots will be hitting the US shelves? I've always liked blaster.. is it the platinum set worth getting?

 

Thanks to the tip from exodus I grabbed Motormaster at WS TRU (thanks man!).

Nice figure. Combined Defensor is much more stable but my Morormaster isn't that bad. These two teams are great. I'm really hoping they get around to Computron.

Just need to find Blackjack, Powerglide and Groove now!

All indications have been that the Blaster/Percepter set is coming stateside.

 

WS TRU got 2 Devastator's in, my cousin grabbed 1 for me, so there's 1 left still....

 

1) nice to see we got them so fast
2) but knowing how things restock around here, those are likely to be the only 2 we see for months


I'm holding out for the SDCC version or the Japanese version.

Same. I really want the Japanese release. But since it takes so long for them to release their Combiner Wars toys I might break and just order off amazon.

They still haven't sent me my Hot Spot....

 

So far it looks like I'm holding out for the Takara one myself. Dunno. I thought about it and I thought that even if I got the Takara set I'd still get the 3rd Party upgrade for the skirt armor and other things, so I'm not sure. Though the Takara Long Haul having elbows is real nice.

I am very bad at keeping up with this, please let me know when they post him and what price. I guess I still have hope, but if it's still over $200 I may have to reconsider going back to my idea of just buying Herc...

It looks like there's a 3rd party set of robot arms and other accessories. It might end up less to buy the Has version and that upgrade than to buy the Tak one, though of course the paint on the Tak one will still be better and the bots will have guns..... Decisions, decisions...

 

I don't know how much better HLJ is gonna be in pricing. List price is 25,000 JPY, or ~$200 if the conversion rate stays about the same all the way until Dec. And he's a big box, so he'll most likely have to be shipped EMS.

TFSource has him up for $220. Includes free shipping, of course.
The Takara version is my favorite, but the price and the wait until Dec are tough. Only part I prefer on the SDCC over the Takara version is how insides of the tracks on Bonecrusher and Scavenger are painted black instead of purple.
I want to get some version of Devastator. He looks great and perfect to pass on to children.


Also speaking of TFSource, I see they're offering the TFCon exclusive repaint of Evila Star. So freaking tempting.. The purple and grey work great on him and he includes a piece of train track for display. All for the same price as the original Evila Star.

 

I was thinking of getting the Takara one if I get one at all, but with the Prowl head from Perfect Effect I'll just go for Hasbro since I won't be using the Devastator head and it's staying combined for me 100% of the time. It's kind of a half ass Prowlstator but it's better than nothing.

I'm also fine waiting until Amazon releases him, I'm not going to play the game of "TRU gets two at a time that are sold 10 minutes after opening." I've got no use for any Devastator until that upgrade kit releases anyways.
