No worries, Pete mentions at around 26:00 that the 6th figure is a deluxe instead of a legends and around 38:00 they discuss the possibility of CW Brawl as Quake in 4.0 and Pete says the sixth guy is an Autobot, "no plans for Quake right now."

Also at 26:20 some discussions of Flywheels, "no plans for him right now" but it depends on the feedback forms from Botcon.

I'm thinking the sixth figure is the bonus, as Pete says at 26:08 that "you'll get 5 deluxes and a Voyager". So, the 5 deluxes will be the 4 Mayhem Attack Squad members and an Autobot and the Voyager Bludgeon for the combiner torso make up Subscription service 4.0

Cheers for that! Stopping short with the Mayhem Attack Squad and adding in an Autobot - if I'm reading this correctly - seems fair enough because it seems that the Service format isn't quite big enough to allow all the (solid ideas for) characters that are being so enthusiastically discussed on this thread.

While I would never seriously expect FP to take on my idea of Leader Jetfire retooled into Thunderwing - who already has a Generations figure - Battletrap's made Flywheels conspicuous by his lack of a new toy, which was already viable, not least because of his IDW depiction.

The fact that this Mayhem Attack Squad's also giving us some more Scavengers (and the fact that most alt-modes are altered for Classics anyway) probably offsets a lot of fuss about which figures these guys will use. Otherwise Windsweeper - originally a B-1B Excalibur so far as I can tell - might have been better suited to Silverbolt's new mold, with the SST/Valk/B-1 lovechild of an alt-mode. Either that or Air Raid's, what with the swing-wings. :D  In this case, Bludgeon could have got his tank mode back by reusing Brawn (if HasTak are making that available yet) but of course there's a possible Pretender reference, and he's more popular than Windsweeper. So Bludgeon gets the Voyager.

When I was looking at the photos of the slides just then to talk about the alt-modes, the last slide says 'The TFSS 4.0 features 6 figures plus a BONUS 7th figure for anyone who keeps the entire subscription. More details will be announced later this summer.' So this seems a bit more straightforward than what Pete was saying, while presumably not trying to tell us too much, haha.

I was there at the panel and I forgot about seeing that slide stating a "TFSS 4.0 features 6 figures plus a BONUS 7th figure"  That would be nice getting 5 deluxes, a voyager and whatever the bonus will be (depending on the character/figures of course!)

Haha, more power to you for going and reporting back. I can hardly blame you; it sounds like it was a big day for fans taking it all in as well as interviewees. Some of the ambiguities and business lingo from interviews in the last week have been a bit easy to pick at on the boards. :D

Back when an official Generations Devastator was still completely hypothetical to the fans, I wondered if Long Haul and Mixmaster could be cherry-picked to complete the Autobot double Targetmasters (Landfill and Quckmix respectively I think). Of course the Constructicons turned out to be a boxed set, and FP seem keen to only give us at least enough combiners that can form a team, so this seems unlikely. Furthermore it seems like there will be three suitable CW/UW molds for the Triggerbots (if FP could secure Deluxe Groove). This would more or less form an Autobot counterpart to the toys that formed the Mayhem Attack Squad. All of this and the concepts from my previous post might take the Subscription Service more than a couple of years to handle, so it'd be good to see something that predates CW, like Blitzwing, turned into Flywheels before powers that be consider the mold too old. And on balance, of course there are more Actionmasters, G2 characters/decos and hopefully BW references and so on for FP to delve into, where the main line toys are on an obvious and rewarding tangent.

Autobot, huh? Guess that's my hopes of a Carnivac from BW Wolfang / Max B dashed...

Well, I joined the club. And promptly realized I could have gotten the Waruders from the club for cheaper than I paid from a board member! I didn't get hosed by any means. BBTS is charing $240 for the Waruders before shipping (and I'm in Canada). I got them for $240 shipped.

$185.65 shipped from the club store. =P

Checked ebay to see if it was worth my while to order some of the BotCon toys and resell, not really. Ah well, I needed my Waspinators. Granted the club joining price offsets the difference. Hoping to make up the club price by selling off the freebie next year. =)

At any rate, now I'm set for later this year or next spring to sign up for the Mayhem Attack Squad. Whooo.

So I’ll just throw out my wild almost baseless theory for who the sixth member is. What we know for sure is it’s an autobot and it’s a DLX. Other information we can gain is that the set is meant to have a “tighter theme” so for that you can gain either this is an autobot that has history with MAS or is someone the con’s would consider enough of a threat to send their version of the wreckers after (this of course is providing they follow any kind of story logic).

So from all that and given I actually just really really want to see this as a toy I am going to say: Flame from WfC Megatron. Story wise my reasoning is this, the guy is enough of a threat you would need to send a combiner team/hit squad after, he can command zombie armies and tries to turn planets in the spaceships, he’s got a history with the Wreckers so MAS going up against makes a kind of sense.

Of course I could be totally wrong and it could be carnivac (technically he is an autobot) from RiD steeljaw or an actionmaster, or Wreckgar from UW groove or something totally random.

    Bludgeon instead of Thunderwing...
so close to having an exact team from the comics but
    [IMG]

I'd like Pete to explain why they picked some characters from the Mayhems and some from the Matrix Quest team.

If I were to take a guess, they're probably using the Cry Wolf incarnation which Bludgeon led, and had the Targetmasters as members. The Triggers were not in that team, though - I'm guessing they got in because of a lack of available molds to do Quake / Octopunch / Stranglehold.

Cast, I REALLY like that idea of Flame. I hope that the club are also following that logic. It would be a great fit given the (assumption of a) UK story basis for the team.

I have been asking the club for Flame from WfC Meg's for years now, lets hope this is finally my year and I can at last shut up about it.

Oh and what about the legends fig, we know originally it was going to be part of the MAS from blackjack, so I assume at one point bludgeon was from motormaster, that being out the window it could mean axer from groove, or maybe something using shockwave? Or how about Guzzle from legends warpath? Can't really see how he would fit story wise though.

If they went with Thunderwing from Silverbolt or Cyclonus, they would have had an existing team. Also, Quake isn't a part of the Mayhems so he shouldn't have been chosen. However, I do want Quake from Brawl at some point just to have all three Decepticon Double Targetmasters. Same with Crankcase (from First Aid) and the Triggercons.

I would want Voyager Rhinox remolded into Stranglehold. I used to want Beast Wars Transmetal Rhinox as Stranglehold but then they made a Voyager Rhinox. I'm not sure which mold would work for Octopunch. I'd prefer they don't use the Shattered Glass Octopunch mold.

Not that it really seems to matter but Thunderwing was never part of the mayhems either, if he was in this squad though it would be basically matrix quest.

Well, obviously. I would call it the Matrix Conquest team.

I like the idea of the WFC Megatron mold being used as an Autobot (I really want it as Big Convoy, honestly), so I'm game for that!

I want Stranglehold from Voyager Rhinox to go with the upcoming Bludgeon. Then we need a new non-SG Octopunch. The problem is the lack of crab OR octopus themed Transformers in recent years, much less a Voyager sized one.

I like the way you think.

Although I do wonder how SG flame would work, would he be a very moral evil scientists that does stuff like ensures his death rays have a low carbon footprint?

So let me see if I have this straight....

Armada Skywarp and (Universe) Ramjet to go with Hasbro's Starscream, but no Thundercracker to round out the uses of the original mold. :peoples:

Battletrap without Flywheels, even though there is a plane/tank mold that would work just fine. :mad

Spinister and Needlenose (With two Targetmasters each! ) but no Quake, even though there is a Combiner Wars tank mold that could be used. :banghead:

I can understand Hasbro not satisfying the desire that some of us have to complete certain groups of G1 characters with modern figures. But the club has given up any pretense that they are not trolling us. :throw

(Yes, I know I am being unreasonable. I have to vent my frustration somehow.... :( )
