Of all The Bayverse movies, What was your most favorite scene? Mine was Optimus's first transformation in the first film.
Autobots arrival, Forest battle, the lockdown walk, shockwave's entrance and blackout blowing the base apart. Yeah the rest is really...ehhhhh..
Here's the stuff I enjoyed in all the films: Transformers (07) Arrival to Earth Autobots at Sam's house Bumblebee's Capture Autobots meet at the observatory Basically the entire Mission City battle This scene: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_yy4qamWAmk Revenge of the Fallen Optimus arrives in Shanghai Optimus transforms in NEST HQ Forest Fight Jetfire's Sacrifice for Optimus Dark of the Moon Autobots approaching the shuttle Highway chase and Sentinel's betrayal Decepticons invade Chicago and the Iridescent scene afterwards "It's over" scene and Autobots return Optimus wiping out Decepticons in Chicago Optimus vs Sentinel "Who would you be without me, Prime?" Age of Extinction Cemetery Wind hunting Ratchet Cade revives Optimus Optimus reveals himself to Cemetery Wind (but not the chase that follows) Autobots Reunite Autobots Raid KSI Lockdown captures Optimus "Have Faith, Prime" Optimus recruits Grimlock Dinobot Charge Optimus vs Lockdown
My favorite scene is the one where Bumblebee is captured by Sector 7 in the 2007 movie. Up until then, we basically see that every time a cybertronian meets a group of humans, shit gets wrecked up. In that scene, we see that humans (Mikaela notwithstanding) might not be as helpless as the audience might have thought up until then. It's also the scene where we see what really sets the Autobots apart from the Decepticons. The Autobots watching from the shadows want to help, it hurts them to see their friend in trouble, but they know that they can't get involved. They talk about the conflict. They have empathy not only for their friend, but for the humans. They don't just plow in guns blazing to take what they want, like the Decepticons do. Lastly, this is the scene where Sam starts being more than a bystander or a target, he stands up for Bumblebee and tries to protect his friend as Bumblebee protected him. It doesn't do a whole lot of good, but he tries, and it really solidifies visually the bond between the two characters.
Paratrooper Prime. I felt it was just a well shot well choreographed scene with just the right amount of fun.
That moment I think, was the first time I'd ever felt 'feelings' in a Bay film...which makes me think he was strong-armed into making it work by Spielberg. I claim this, because in ROTF, there wasn't anything there that gave me the same level of feelings.
The closest was Sam's dad in Egypt. Probably the most emotional part of the movie. Kevin Dunn was really not half assing it in there.
Ratchet's execution/interrogation by Lockdown. Gave Ratchet the most characterization proportionate to screen time. The trilogy just featured him shooting offscreen baddies and shit. Plus, it actually made me feel like tearing up. Poor guy...
Man so many, but a few I can remember; Bonecrusher transforming and throwing himself at Optimus, every Construction scene, Soundwave in ROTF Lockdown taking out Ratchet and Grimlock vs Optimus.
Sadly I didn't have that feeling. A huge reason for that was because Ratchet's sudden Irish accent distracted me while I was watching the scene.
First film: Autobots arrival to Earth Bumblebee "lubricating" Simmons Optimus vs Bonecrusher The fact that there were NO Decepticon protoforms or nameless Decepticons ROTF: Devastor's entrance DOTM: Ironhide & Sidewipe vs dreads Highway chase scene Bumblebee vs Soundwave AOE: Hound being a fat ballerina
Any time the Transformers acted awkward in getting accustomed to humans. We really need more of that kind of humor.
