Got my Black Convoy from Robotkingdom. It's just been shipped today. As a fan of the character, I prefer this deco to the OTCC Scourge which I also own.

Armada Megs looks great too, but I pass

Takara's Armada Megatron looks great. However... and I'm mildly surprised to be saying this... seeing them side-by-side I actually think Hasbro's does a better job looking like the original figure. The black in the center of the chest, the grey head, the black ribs, the orange on the antlers... all of that seems a better match on Hasbro's version. The main thing the Takara version has going for it, IMO, is the gunmetal grey paint on the inside of the tread pieces, which looks great and much classier than Hasbro's unpainted green.

Both are very nice figures. I'll probably still pick up the Takara one as well. But I'm surprised how well Hasbro actually nailed the colors on theirs (oh, and I'm speaking as someone who does not own the original Armada Megatron, so I think the faithfulness of this figure didn't hit me till seeing the side-by-side pics).

 

I'm still waiting for the Galvatron repaint of Armada Megs,

 

Nah, Tankor and Demolishor have no resemblance whatsover, it wouldn't be Demolishor without his trademarked finger guns and shoulder missiles (Not to mention that the Tankor figure doesn't have Minicon ports to justify such repaint like what happened with Megatron and Armada Megatron).

Plus, considering how they're reinventing classic Armada characters it's pretty obvious that Demolishor should be next.

my favorite part is that scourge didn't get red highlights like the initial pics suggested. He just happens to be *MADE OF LIGHTPIPING* covered with paint

Yea Takara's Megatron matches the toons deco. Hasbro has the toy deco

Yeah, Hasbro's Armada Megatron is a better representation of the actual toy while Takara's version is more show accurate.

I don't really care about toy or show accuracy, I just go with what looks better and Takara's version wins the prize here.

 

That takara Armada Megatron just looks better and better the more I look at it, I love the color scheme he just looks so evil. This figures definitely replacing my Hasbro version, for me the only good thing about the Hasbro version's color scheme is the head sculpt since both the purple face and red horns are accurate to how he looked in the Dreamwave Comics.

 

This is another example of the low quality of Transformers nowadays. How is possible that a Micron Legends Megatron has a much better plastic that a new Megatron of this year 2015, and it even had electronics and several gimmicks.

Now we have a more articulated Megatron with hollow pieces and cheap plastic.
