not only you'll be missing out the 1st fembot combiner, you'll also missing out slipstream, blackarachnia, night bird and the 1st fembot masterpiece road rage..

repaint and a simple head swap, i can understand, but extensive retool that pretty much turn it into a new figure, its a mistake not to get them.. plus god know when you will get them.. 3rd party isnt going to give you victorion anytime soon. (or ever since they will be "not victorion")

 

Ok i dont care about female combiners for one. I have slipstream already (did everyone forget about the transformers prime starscream repaint?) I'm getting road rage but not tracks. Dont do beast wars, and if i wanted a night bird i would get mgt 06 which is light years ahead of the arcee remold.i do however have the arcee remolded chromia and im sure i will end up with viper so im a walking talking oxymoron

 

I think she looks great! I love that she's symmetrical, having 2 helicopters as arms doesn't bother me. In fact reusing molds doesn't bother me either, I don't have any of the other CW so Victorion will be totally unique in my collection.

 

might be the only thing from CW i'll get, if only to support more female transformers.

 

I would have liked to see some "lipstick" on Victorion.

 

No matter how hardcore the retool is, it never seems like a new toy to me. It still moves the same. It still transforms the same. It's still is the same.

 

Why is it when they have an original character that the writers always try and make sure that the character(s) are all sparkle sparkle super special? Heaven forbid the new characters are forced to deal with the obvious flaw that is part of the lore. *sighs*

 

Victorion is only like that because apparently the bots that form her have been a team for a LONG time and know each other inside and out. Hence the improved mind melding. That doesn't mean shes "super intelligent" it just means that she can function like a normal bot rather than a single minded mentally challenged walking building like other combiners.

All of the other combiners so far (aside from devastator) have literally thrown a bunch of individuals who had basically only known one another in passing. throw that on top of terrible imperfect combiner technology that only makes things worse. The Enigma helped when it came to the tech part but it doesn't change who the team members are, it just allows their bodies to merge and attempts a better mind meld.

that being said, of course the individual bots will have some kind of flaws, as will the combiner, they are keeping everything very close to the chest right now, so the vague details we are getting are making her seem like this perfect creature.

We know the vaguest details about the combiner herself and literally nothing aside from vehicle modes about the individual bots and the fact that the helicopters are twins.

That's not accurate; the Stunticons were riding as a gang as far back as Primacy, during the early days of the war, and Menasor is still a complete psycho (yes, I know that Primacy had Wildrider not Offroad, but Wildrider combined with the rest before the Enigma was even a thing, so it still counts).

also Victorion is not the first team to be able to work very well when merged. computron and predaking are both very cohesive when combined

 

So, if anyone is going to SDCC and gets ahold of the Combiner Hunters Set and wants to sell it at it's going price, let me know. That trio of Femmes look badass. 

 

Damn i knew i was forgetting something. no i didn't forget about Menasor. Anyway, the same problems would still apply. while the Stunticons have worked together for quite along time, they don't necessarily like one another, and as far as i know the rest of them all hate Motormaster with a burning passion. Along with the fact the 5 of them are already psychos isn't going to help. The enigma might have fixed the tech portion of their combining ability, is can only do so much for their states of mind.

Also i think that its safe to assume that the Victorybots (or whatever their team name is going to be, i happen to be partial to the Valkyriebots ) are going to be portrayed as a band of sisters who would do anything for one another. Which will undoubtedly help with the mind meld. As well of the fact that they may actually be an ancient combiner from around galvatron's time, meaning they have experience too.

i know the band of sisters and ancient combiner things are speculation, but if true, would only help their combined state of mind rather than hurt it.

Neither Computron or Predaking exist in IDW yet so i was not really thinking of those when i said this. Predaking is basically perfect, ill give you that one, but Computron not so much.

Computron while being the most intelligent combiner, is not the most cohesive. the catch with Compurtron though is MUCH slower than the rest of them as a result. Every decision he makes must first be put to a round of internal voting between the individual technobots before any real meaningful choice is made at all.

Its nearly impossible for him to make split second decisions. it could take him nearly 30 seconds of getting wailed on by another combiner before he would even know how to respond. His actual response might be very profound and the perfect counter to the situation at hand, but most of the time his actions are too little too late. The inability to respond during combat can mean life or death regardless of how smart one is.

The "They know each other so well" is more of an excuse than anything. I understand it's still early and vague, but I'm hoping it's not another Drift.

 

I agree entirely and sincerely hope that there is more to it than that. Or at least an explanation or some backstory as to WHY the "they know each other really well" is the reason. but for now that's all we've got. its a shame that the info we DO have so far is giving us a bad first impression.

Well Menasor was never stable because Swindle botched the mind meld, and in Combiner Wars he had two new components replacing Wildrider. The Enigma was probably the only thing that kept him functional to any extent.

 

Everytime I see this thread pop up I hope that we're getting some actual pictures and I keep end-up being disappointed.

 

yeah, prime slipstream doesnt look too hot when compare to the new slipstream. plus not everyone can afford prime slipstream (before you think i'm being cheap, i got prime slipstream in my army).
