Me as Booker Dewitt from Bioshock Infinite: Me as Jaime Lannister from Game of Thrones: Me as Arno Victor Dorian from Assassin's Creed Unity: And me as Connor Kenway from Assassin's Creed III: Right now I'm working on Shay Cormac from Assassin's Creed Rogue, Jacob Frye from Assassin's Creed Syndicate, and Max from Mad Max: The Road Warrior, and I'm hoping to do alternate versions of Jaime and Arno next year.
I swear if I could cosplay I'd do it, but I have no idea what I could look like with my face and body's shape.
Here's me and my friends hanging out on Halloween. I'm the Scarecrow. I made the mask! Dare I say it, I did a GREAT job considering I didn't know how to sew. THIS WAS THE FIRST THING I EVER SEWED.. Nobody taught me, I just...DID it. Die, Batman, die! I REALLY want to go to Comic Con as Scarecrow, because I'm really proud of that mask. However, being at Comic Con WITHOUT a full-face mask is suffocating enough! And I don't think the costume would be recognizable if I took the mask off. Here's me Cosplaying as Walter White at Comic Con 2012:
Years ago I cosplayed as grifter from wildcats. My girlfriend at the time dressed as zealot. It was fun
Been cosplaying for some years now. I tend to snag up a character and do three or four versions of them before moving on to the next. My top two favorite have been... Cyclops from the X-Men, in blue... (apologies for the selfie shot, my cosplay group and I were sending updates on costume progress, and it de-evolved into this...) ...and red variants. Terra from Kingdom Hearts Birth By Sleep And again in his knight armor, with my friend as Aqua. We won some awards at this masquerade that year.
Only thing that stops me from being one is none of my friends are into that sort of stuff so you know why even bother?
I usually cosplay to large - scale comic conventions like NYCC, SDCC, ECCC and WonderCon. I usually go as Morpheus from the Matrix, but have been Blade, Indigo Lantern John Stewart and Future Static Shock from the Justice League. Here's a link to my Facebook cosplay page: https://m.facebook.com/westcoastmorpheus?refsrc=https://www.facebook.com/westcoastmorpheus When I attend shows, I take photos of all the cosplayers, so my page isn't all about me taking selfies. I showcase everyone.
So I've chosen my character for the next comic con and while I can afford some basic cloth articles, other pieces needed to be custom-made and I can't find proper substitutions. So anybody could suggest me a good costume commission website to send them the designs and measures? I had one bad experience with buying a costume online and I don't want a repeat of that.
You can try Strange Land Costuming on etsy. I found her on Cosplay.com. Stace is really cool and accommodating, depending on what you want. She made my Static Shock Jacket to my exact specs in record time for a convention, and her prices were beyond reasonable, especially compared to some other quotes I received for the same project. I highly recommend her.
Question for all you pros out there? How hard, or more so, how much of a pain is it to transport replica weapons- ie airsoft pistol? It will be going my checked baggage, and I know the process for checking real firearms. I just don't want my bag ripped open even though TSA says it doesn't need to be previously declared.
Well I bought toys guns this week from eBay but the Global Shipping Program prevented them from shipping to my address, and they were just plain toy guns that makes lights and sounds and not airsofts. Went to another site and bought one from them two days ago so I don't know if it'll pass this time.
Well after some research, due to my current flight plans, can't take any airsoft weapons with me, due to my layovers in NYC, which has banned possession of airsoft in the city limits. Looks like amazon to the rescue to the hotel.
