I'd like to congratulate Funpub with once again releasing a Botcon set that is a mishmash of potentially great ideas, thus ending up with only a 'you can sort of repurpose this one as that one' set.

Sorry, but...Pete, or anyone from Funpub that visits TFW...isn't it true that that the really well liked and great selling sets were the ones that are super coherent - the pre-Beast Wars one, the first Shattered Glass, the Animated one? Heck, I actually think even the G2 set did better than the sets from the last couple of years.

Seriously, all of the stuff in this set (box and loose souvenirs) would have been perfect as the 'full package'. Diaclone/pre-Transformers? Check. Movie characters in alternate universe? Check. Formerly unreleased toys remade? Check.

Not sure if this is some kind of Hasbro regulation that's limiting you or something, but please stop shooting yourself in the foot. Stop spreading your bets across the table, aim for one big thing. At this point I fully expect you to use Combiner Wars next year, yet fail to create even one combiner with the molds.   /

Well Takara already did their Roadblock. also the head design kind of reminds me of Tarantulas weirdly enough.

Yeah I have to agree. It'll all over the place. The best sets had a spefici theme in mind.
