Okay, I love the fact the Waspinators come with Targetmaster Waspinators. Especially since I gave my Gen. Waspinator my Targetmaster Waspy.

That said... kinda unmoved by the horde of Waspys. Just too much.

On the other hand, everything else I just very cool. Perfect convention exclusives, they aren't absolute essentials, but they do fill a niche and even if you're not familiar with them, they're just nice looking figures.

So what are the odds that the club will have any of these sets for sale on their site for those of us that can't get to BotCon, but will just up and die if they don't have that Diaclone two pack? I'm hurtin' here!

Son of a dammit. I'm going to have to track down that Optimus/Hound two-pack.

Props to TFCC, they nailed the souvenir sets this year. Shame the box set isn't quite as impressive, but still.

A couple of factors here -
The Club has put up leftovers on their site post-convention the past couple of years.
    -but-
They also put out a tweet saying there's a "Renewed focus on exclusivity" this year, so with their smaller production run they might not have enough to sell afterwards.

I'm digging Lift Ticket and Burnout, but I'm not entirely sold on the rest. I like the idea behind the G2 set and the Waruders, but it's just not quite doing it for me.

What are you talking about? There's always a retooled head in the souvenir sets.

The wasp colors are all different incarnations of waspinator.

The Offroad retool? I wouldn't call that proper when the alt mode isn't even close to that old van form.

    Uh..no.

Lift-Ticket is cool because he is both a Diaclone homage and GI Joe shout-out. As a major Hoist fanboy, I may have to search him out on the aftermarket. No real interest in the Skids, though.

General Optimus and Sgt. Hound really made me smile. The Targetmaster/Diaclone drivers makes me wonder if there is a peg somewhere on the Hoist mold which would work to mount the gun in vehicle mode. He's got the peg holes between the wheels but not sure if there is enough clearance there for a mount. And the one on his back holds the wrecking hook.

And the Waspinator mega pack is a thing of beauty. Clearly the yellow one is an update of BW Buzzsaw, which is great. I love the addition of the Legends/Targetmaster Waspinators as well. Get Generations Waspinator and Venin in there and you have a Super Sentai team.

Waspinator 4 pack looks good. That was a good mold so nice.

The Skids and Hoist/Trailcutter repaints are good too but the rest are an easy pass.

Since I need the G2 pack in my life, I broke down and pre-ordered a set from BBTS. Sure, it's $145 after shipping. But the set is going for at least that if not more on ebay right now AND with it being limited to 1100, I don't want to be left with hyper-scalper pricing. In the end, this will be one of the rarer sets of figures I'll own.

That is a VERY unpainted face on janitor Hound. I love that mold and will probably need it. I guess I'll break out my citadel paints and give him some make-up.

So it looks like the Diaclone set interest far outstrips the availability. Figures...

Lol. I'm selling it for $137 (OBO) shipped in my sales thread. Anybody else interested?

Personally, I dig the Waruder set the best. The paint apps on them are fantastic.

Fox Kids Transmetal Waspinator, I assume? Because FK Waspinator was lavender and gold. Still a great looking figure -- Generations Buzzsaw! Just needs a new head!

The toys look good but I'm not pleased with the identities and storyline for them. The Diaclone story and characters should have been part of G1, not its own separate story. I admit that its kinda cool that Diaclone is getting its own modern story but that just makes the new characters non-entities. I don't particularly care for any of the new Diaclone characters even though the toys look good. I would genuinely have cared more for the Burnout and Lift-Ticket toys had they been named and characterised as Shattered Glass Skids and Hoist, two obscure old toys from the late 1980s or two existing fiction only characters.

I have no problems with Optimus Prime and Hound.
