    At last.
I've been waiting for these since I saw the first Metal Earth sculpt. When I saw Star Wars items popping up, I knew eventually transformers would be on the way. VERY happy they are G1.
    Decent price too.

These are not posable. Do not transform and only like 3 inches.

The Childrens Museum at Indianapolis had a heap of them in the gift shop last week, for anyone in that city looking for them. I think they were $12-15 each though.

I've seen Metal Earth kits at Books A Million, so that may be a place to check out.

I was going to say the same thing. They're at Books-a-Million (Along with Star Wars and others).

Also check Moviestop (The movie store version of Gamestop) for them.

Barnes and Noble is another long shot too.

I bought an x-wing. You need super fine tweezers to build the things and a magnifying glass.

They are really cool models. You can pose them if you bend the metal certain ways, but you won't be moving it back.

anyone who gets one of these kits a word of advice, use tweezers, make sure that you are concentrating and don't bend or place the parts until you are SURE they are in the right place. And the right way round!

This is the lessons learned from assembling 4 of these so far! 1st was a disaster. second was better, third came out well and 4th was nice to do. These are NOT easy but they ARE worth it if you have the dexterity!

I built the Metal Earth kit of the Normandy from Mass Effect. Not impressed. Parts broke during assembly. The final result was underwhelming.

These metal kits might be neat for square-ish designs like architecture, but anything curved is obnoxious as all get-out.

None of their kits are very big, they all use the same two sheets of metal. 3-4 inches I'd guess.

Metal Earth kits are pretty cool. But you REALLY have to take your time with them. And some are a little more advanced like the Himeji Castle here. It was 3 metal sheets and a few VERY small parts. Even has a small bridge and a walkway with stairs. But that's the thing though, you are getting a little metal statue to keep on your desk really. But they can be pretty cool for those whole like to build things. And it gets people talking when they see them.

Might pick up O Prime to give it a try, but after seeing the rest.... I just don't feel it with them. Megatron and bee look okay, and Soundwave does have a little Laserbeak on his arm. But I think Prime might be the better.

They also have Star Wars ( up to series 2 now), bugs, planes, trains, buildings and the like. As well as Halo.

I haven't seen Prime or Megatron yet, but I have seen ones from other series at the book store. They look interesting but frustrating at the same time.

I picked up Prime from the Hobbytown USA in Tyler, TX a few weeks ago - they had all 4 that are out as well as just about all the other metal build kits. I know Hastings has a bunch of them as well, but I haven't been there since before my Hobbytown trip, so dont know if they've got the TF ones.

These are absolute nightmares. One wrong move and you are reduced to broken sheet metal. I have tried these, and you REALLY need to have a slow/steady hand.

Old thread....but I just saw these in the store yesterday so it's NEW to me. lol

    What a cool idea.

An absolute perfect stocking stuffer for Xmas.....I've already forwarded links to all four to the Mrs. for me. :)

I love getting lost in multiple hour long projects with teeny parts....I can't wait!
    *they're soooooo shiny!*

These things are fantastic.. Some are better than others. The transformers ones are pretty nice but the Star Wars ones are great.. Especially the falcon, star destroyer, and kylo ren's shuttle.

Right now I'm building the bigger colored iron man. So far it looks great, then onto war machine. After that I'm going to do the imperial shuttle, then slave 1, then the at-st which looks awesome.

Also.. If you have an AC Moore in your area, they carry these and almost always have a 50% off coupon on their website. So, I've gotten most of them for $6.88 and some for less because I have a family member who works there. And on Friday they had a 60% off coupon so I got the iron man kit for $7 and change.
