I honestly don't like the sidebar. I much preferred the ads at the top of the page.

    It isn't super distracting.

The actual forum feels very cramped. Though I like the styling and graphics.

as far as following things on the site, that hasn't really changed much and it isn't hard to learn in a day or two max. as far as the IP, my work blocks all porn sites and I haven't had any problems with this site at all. maybe its just something on your end.

I don't mind the side bar that much.

However, the side bar works really weird. When I am all the way at the bottom of the page, the ads are gone, and I see Transformers on eBay. When at the top of the page, I have the ads.

The useful stuff being mentioned is primarily seen if you are in the middle of the page. So I actually have to scroll to the middle of the page to control the side bar.

I actually think the ads on top, with the side bar of useful information would be good. Dump the TF on eBay section all together.

With this you get the same thing. When you scroll down, the ads are lost anyway. So nothing changes there.

    They'll never do it.

It's there because the site is likely an eBay Affiliate, so it's a revenue earner. It's the only reason I can think of why random eBay auctions are so prominent on this network of websites.

Oh, so you mean buy a new laptop then? Not really an option, I'm afraid. ;)

In all seriousness, I am getting used to most of the site, and starting to like it a lot. I've tried it in a couple of browsers now, and think I like it in Safari best so far.

    To the OP: No.

I've been on this site a long time. This is a vast improvement. Love the design, the color, everything. Well done, TFW2005 Team!

    The TFW2005 website has TRANSFORMED!

What's not fun is having content that was previously displayed somewhat prominently on the front page (i.e., sales, funnies, sightings, fan fiction) go back to being half-buried in the forums.

    It's okay, a little cramped.

I also think the boards menu has omitted general TF discussion and should rectify that.

But otherwise, it looks like a fairly okay update to me.

The new site looks really good. My only gripe is that the side bar is too wide. However, that's only a minor quibble. Overall, you guys did an awesome job! :thumb

Not to shabby, but the side bar is too big.
