Sorting Overall is effed to hell in general now. Add it to the list of things that no longer work and will never be fixed. My entire top page is wildly out of order. Alpha Bravo beats the much stronger R7 Blitzwing, for example.

Nothing works right in this game anymore.

The sunset link in the app takes you to a Mobage support page. Looks like a boilerplate announcement, which kind of makes me wonder if this gets or is getting used for more games other than TFL.

Pretty much got burned out on the last two events. Still have some cybercash to use up too, but why bother? I'll probably delete the game after this weekend.

 

Anyone could see this was coming; I'm just surprised it took this long. There was a time a couple years ago when I would have felt disappointed. But now, it feels more like a relief. Put it out of its misery.

And I can't wait to get started on never playing another DeNA/Mobage game ever again. After they screwed me and so many others on the GI Joe game (which was more like an actual game, anyway) I decided I'd stay with TFL until it finished limping to its death...just without paying another cent on anything.

But now that the end is finally here, good riddance, DeNA.

 

Final Fantasy Record Keeper isn't bad (yet). They seem to be doing regular events now so we'll see how much power creep they introduce.

No but seriously the game's even crashier than normal. Does anyone know of a way to save the artwork on the cards from oblivion, because that's basically the only part of this trashheap worth consigning to history.

Something strange just happened.
I was fighting a low level boss and the battle cube options were 2,3,4 instead of 1,2,3.
So the lowest amount I could spend was 2.

 

I don't know why I'm surprised by this, but they seem to be updating code in their live system, like, non stop since last night. I've not been able to stay logged in for more than 5 minutes.

I haven't found a way to scrape it and get all of the images into one place, but you can go through the galleries and save the images you want.

Free rewards

Has anyone else gotten free rewards in the last few days? Yesterday I got 2 16X Jetfires, 125 bc's, 2000 transmetals, 200 weapon transmetals and 200K in credits. Today I got 1 Level 8 King Grimlock card already maxed and transcanned and 1 each of Level 8 King Grimlock card robot & alt mode. I do have a incident report with them over some lost cards from 2 events ago but they haven't responded saying this was the settlement.

 

I got all the same rewards and I'm sure everyone else did, too. Maybe they wanted everyone to be able to have at least one R8 before the game ends.

 

There's a big difference between Final Fantasy Record Keeper and most of DeNA's other games: they didn't make it. The game was made and is maintained and updated by Square-Enix.

DeNA is just the distributor for FFRK. DeNA/Mobage pretty much owns all phone/tablet game distribution in Japan. That's why they have FFRK, and why Nintendo partnered with them for phone/tablet games.

That's also why FFRK is genuinely F2P, and why bugs get fixed quickly. There's no real power creep if you read up on the stats of the characters released so far in Japan. The frequency of events appears to mainly be to catch up to the Japanese version.
