Yeah, I'm sure someone needs time to set up an annoying "extra fees" Facebook character (and the escaped juvenile convict one if it hasn't already happened)

Calling now and actually getting an answer is way too rational and way too early..

Okay time to add even more confusion to this mess! :lol

Just got off the phone with their reservations manager and apparently the total for my stay, after the one night deposit, actually includes the resort fee.

So...maybe it's because of Botcon that they waved the fee and the email I received was just a standard reminder? It explains the free parking thing and when I mentioned Botcon to the front desk they immediately transferred me to their reservations manager to explain this, so...who knows. Pete, any clarification you can add?

Same here, but my card Was charged & I printed this out "just in case". I'm always so paranoid that there's gonna be some kind of mix up and I'm gonna get screwed it ain't funny. Never had a problem though... so far.

And Chucky was a "kid's toy"... we are going to a toy convention, beware of killer robits! That's all I'm sayin' lol

Thankfully I'm in the custom class, so I pretty much know my package pick up time... aka "finish painting toy and sit by package pick-up room door" o'clock.

Which reminds me, about how early do people usually start lining up for things like the club store and registration pick up?

I'm guessing a few hours or so? Maybe? I don't know. :lol

Well.. It varies. In 2012, on Saturday morning there were a handful of us that got in line at like 6:45am :lol
Last year I was GT so I showed up like 30-45min before everything opened on Saturday, and it was just one other dude there. I'll probably hang around the entrance after I get out of the custom class to meet and hang with others who may be like-minded :lol

Mine was finally charged. I will be sure to take my invoice. I am worried too and I have never been before. I worry about the hotel room and Botcon ticket. So really the whole trip. :p

Oh guess I know what time my package pick up time is then. Thanks! :D

Last time I went by about three hours early and five people were in line so I joined.

Hey guys, just reposting this here.

I’ve been working on lots of new projects lately and haven’t had much time to get out and promote them, but I’d like to tell everyone a little about what we’ve got in store for the Japan Perspective panel, held on Saturday afternoon from 2:00 to 2:50.

The always prolific, sometimes controversial manga artist Hayato Sakamoto and I will be joined by our longtime friend Jim Sorenson. We’ll begin by talking about the interesting things going on in the Japanese Transformers scene right now, and introduce the works of some of our favorite artists. Some you may have heard of, some probably not, but all awesome!

For the remainder of the panel, I’ll interpret as Hayato discusses his experiences drawing and writing Transformers, from assisting on Kissplay (everyone’s favorite, right?) to creating Kreo and Legends, to filling in for Alex on More Than Meets The Eye... We’ll show you plenty of design work and cool things that have never seen the light of day.

For the last few minutes, we’ll take Q&A from the audience. Hayato and Jim are two of the most (if not the most) crazily TF-literate creators out there, and I’m no slouch myself, so we welcome tough or critical questions!

For the rest of the weekend, I will be hanging out at Hayato’s table, where I’ll be interpreting and chatting with you guys. Hayato will be selling some prints, and doing commissions all weekend, so feel free to come take a look (or even better, inquire in advance). This guy can draw ANYTHING. Rorza, the Rocket-cycle Racer from Rigel III? Pfft, give us a challenge! (Of course, requests for characters people actually care about are welcome, too. Especially Nickel, who he designed!) Those with questions can contact me at [email protected]

Although I will likely be in Artist Alley for most of the weekend, for probably the last time ever, I’ve registered a dealer table with the self-explanatory name of “Hydra’s Wedding Sale.” I’ll be tying the knot this very weekend next year, so I’ve decided to let some of the crazy TF stuff from out of my closets go to free up space. A few rare things, and lots of weird junk! Even I can’t remember what’s in there, but check it out!

    See you next weekend!

Looking forward to the panel. I really enjoyed the Botcon comic art, the fembot packaging art and the Kreon stuff too. Lots of fun energy there. I absolutely loved the Hoist the Flag print last year and hope there's something equally as nice this year. :)
