Do you mean how the torso is slightly leaning? I think it's because the torso is only supported by a thin column. Because it's not flush with the waist, it's pulled to the left by the heavier weight of the cannon arm

Well i used the sharpie and the Tamiya X11 Chrome paint. The silver sharpie does not match but the Tamiya chrome is damn near perfect.

Thanks...heard it before...now looking for photographic evidence to back up claims. But I suppose "damn near perfect" is kinda saying "not quite perfect". Just by the names of the colors, I'd expect the TS-83 "Metallic" Silver to match better than X11 "Chrome" but that doesn't mean much. So far, I've seen pictures of somone using TS-83 and the lighting wasn't great but it looked good from what I could tell.

I'm not as good at taking pictures as some of you guys (and couple of these are a bit blurry so apologies) but here's some Apollyon/Megatron (with some other dudes).

Great pics! Love the evolution of Megatron, nice work. And regarding that back piece, I cant seem to close that up any either.

I've posted this several times before so I'll say it again, NOT a silver sharpie but a metallic silver paint marker is an exact match.

Which state do you live in, so I can stay the hell outta that state! Thank God I live in The state of Queensland, I been importing these all day no problem! TOO strict of a state for me! Even if one day they decided to do that to us here, NOBODY would be getting in to see my collection anyway its locked up tighter than Fort Knocks!! lol

This is where I landed, this is where God wants me, so I can only pray I wont. Seriously, I feel bad for you that we are both in the same country, but we are worlds apart with laws! Its a real shame you cant own one of these little beauties, I racked up on them when I had the funds and opportunity thinking maybe THIS might be THE toy that may make a good investment piece, who knows, maybe yeah, maybe no. I have 12 of them I am sitting on just in case! lol overkill! yes, I wish you could get one I would sell you one at cost, yeah, up north here is A'OK in my book!

Agreed, I use one of these for Apollyon (and other figures)

Iv'e used it on Apollyon's head and feet so far, its a vry good match. I would seriously advise aginst silver Sharpies, Iv'e had them take paint off my figures before now.

oh...man Victoria .....I was thinking NSW..even worse, I actually read that! Too bad you cant just go outta state to get one, then just keep it hid and safe, nobody finds it, no problem. My first rule to collecting: Keep everything you own to yourself and yourself alone, nobody gets a peek at my collection. I learned that the hard way. Now when I sell its out of the trunk of my car 20 miles away from the house! I keep the cops out, by keeping the nose clean! I almost want to tell you just get one and keep it under wraps ain't nobody gotta know ya business. BUT...that's your business, I cant tell ya what to do! After reading that law....makes me want to go back to USA...ALMOST...nah, forget I said that...nothing worse than going back....shutter to think it!!

I have been skimming this thread from the beginning. It's pretty funny how more than a few complained about this figure and cited minor reasons why they would never buy him, but now they own him. Just find it interesting...

The longer Takara holds out on making there version , the more popular this figure will become. Even with all its flaws , there all mostly fixable. An let's face it , he's a pretty cheap stand in . Just like quakewave , I'm sure this figure will follow suit. If your a diehard MP collector , don't wait to long to purchase this figure . Look how many folks are asking for a 3rd - 4th run of quakewave .

Agreed. I already missed out on the Coneheads and was able to get a 3rd run Quakewave from TF-Direct before they ran out. Secondary market prices are absurd.

If the MP line means that much to you and the quality in many of the 3rd party figures is what you like, then pull the trigger.

I agree. I would love a chance to get QW. Considering Quakewave, I wonder what Apollyon will go for aftermarket in a year.

One of the things I always wanted to do is move to Australia. After reading what he said, nope. I want to get away from a stifling government not add more government intervention. Maybe Japan?

That's right, it's fixable. This figure will fetch good secondary money because Takara is afraid to make a "gun" now days. It's a frickin' toy. Gimme a break Takara!! Maybe X Transbots is owned by Takara as a test market? Good conspiracy theory huh? Lol

Well, Shockwave is popular with fans but he isn't Megatron. I see the prices being about the same or more unless XTB keeps releasing Apollyon and satisfying consumer demand. The thing about Quakewave is they are happy prices are high and aren't releasing another wave to help satisfy demand. That's why prices are so high.
