Yes, but having Grapple and Inferno will be one step closer to having all of the 1984-5 Autobot cars in combiner wars.

In preparation for Rodimus I had a go with using a clear rubber band to hold Blackjack's fin in place on his robot mode back:

The sides of the band is looped round each shoulder and the bottom of the band round the post at the base of the weapon in both pictures.

This first picture shows the fin sitting in a lower position and was done by looping the top of the band round the tabs on the back of the fin.

The fin sits higher here and was done by looping the top of the band round the post and through the gaps at the bottom of the fin.

But who wants fun and variety when you could have slavish G1 accuracy apparently? I knew there was a reason I put those other two on "Ignore".

I'm with you on clever repaints/reuses of molds. We've already seen the listings for Wheeljack/Smokescreen (and Trailcutter?)...plus there's the Ratchet head in First-Aid's comic.

So if we've got a second wave of "random" Autobot cars coming there's going to be a new torso to go with them. Unless Hasbro suddenly breaks the current rule of every Deluxe Wave having a torso.

That *could* be Blaster (based on all of the Autobot cassettes in the upcoming list of Legends), or Blaster could be a Leader class out of left-field and they've got something else up their sleeve for the Voyager.

I selfishly want a Voyager/Leader Rodimus based on MTMTE because it would mean we're one step closer to a new Getaway.

And even with Legends Rodimus it's not entirely impossible given we're getting Thundercracker and Skywarp in the Leader Class when they've literally *just* had Legends versions in the past few waves.

GDO Hot Spot wasn't that shitty. It was pretty good of a retool at the time but now we have a more proper Hot Spot so it seems inferior.

    Yes.

Thunderclash would make a lot more sense.

Looking at it more I still think a retooled Scamper would have made for a good Rodimus. Bonus - he has the hole in his back for the wings/fins/whatever, and the double-wheels on his arms could be switched around for a single wheel and the exhaust pipes.

Still, first new mass-market Rodimus since Animated (or Classics, if you're exclusively a classics-type fan), so I'm just happy to see it.

It's really kind of insane to me that they made an accessory that so easily could have been tooled into his fin and didn't bother adding the peg holes to make it work OR remold his forearms with his signature triblasters... Those 2 little details would have moved him from a total pass to a must have for me.

Blackjack's axe as an accessory baffles the crap out of me. Upon the initial reveal, the thing looked (and still does look) like it was designed to be the hilt for Menasor's sword. But for whatever reason it was chilling out on his chest instead.

Fast forward to release and... nope, its just some super weird looking chest armor. ...and yeah, in car mode, looks like it was totally meant to evoke Rodimus' spoiler. But can it peg onto his back in robot mode? Nope!

    So confused.

That's because Skywarp is supposed to be the same mold in different colors why would they change just him?

It never looked like a hilt to me, but there is a way to put it in his forearm and hold it like a gun, it looks like it was on purpose there is a notch there the same size.

Ah, but this is SKYWARP! Last time there was a legends class skywarp, some people were paying $100+ just to get it.

I'd buy one. Actually, looking at nonnef's site, looks like there are several things there I'll be buying.

Nonnef has confirmed that a yellow version of our adapter will likely be forthcoming.

Yeah, if that adapter helps Blackjack hang on to Prime in even the normal configuration it'd be a handy little add-on.

I'm also curious about those new hip joints. Are they sold in pairs or do you buy them per-joint? I like Prime but I always feel like I'm going to break his legs trying to get him into a stable torso mode.

That sounds nice. I might get that instead of the black one. Keep up the great work, guys! :thumb
