So they're going to study toys, shows, ect to try and build the Transformers Cinematic Universe? Wow. They're really going through with it.

Hope they have enough luck to pull it off. I mean the fact that they mentioned that they're taking inspiration from many sources especially from other TF related media is a good enough sign.

All this still says to me that a reboot might not be out of the question.

They've got a LOT of people in this writers room, so I'm curious what will ultimately come out of it. But with the next film being pushed to 2017, it has given me some hope that we'll start seeing the newer films actually live up to the brand's mythology legacy.

Hearing some good things here, but this really would have better been saved for a reboot after wrapping things up with TF5.

Damn, that's a crapload of writers with no Ehren Kruger in sight. Can't wait to see what they come up with.

The amount of voices here makes me hopefully that they can't all be drowned out by Bay. Obviously he's going to have involvement of sorts. Perhaps Paramount are tired of having a movie that while it makes them money, is perpetually critically panned, and is dropping revenue in many markets.

One can hope, however naively so....

This could either be a great marvel at work... Or a really bad idea... Here's hoping for the ladder.

    THIS!! (Just this part.)

I'm just glad to hear that they've all gotten together and are planning this out! There much more left for the Movie to discover, to go! We go find Star Saber or we can try and restore Cybertron with the Omega keys! Hell, maybe Star Saber could be the one to do it! Chromedome, Sixshot, Scattorshot,Whirl!

I think I feel some excitment.

    Seconded.

People bash Bay for it, but it's Kruger's writing that made the movies unbearable. With him not in picture, I hope for a decent script.

Solid scripts can still be torn to shreds by directors who demand changes to it.

Here's hoping for even more Animated influence, sounds promising!

At first it kinda sounded like they'd been given another bible by Hasbro like the Aligned creators were. Thank goodness that's not the case here.

Blah blah blah. More PR speak. I'll believe it when I see it. Remember when Spielberg was a "true fan." What a joke.

Pretty sad that I don't even expect one decent TF thing to come out of all this mess. But I've been conditioned thus.

yep, in fact should be noted that the only TF movie that was better received (the first film) is the only one Ehren Kruger didnt wrote

The writing wasn't great, but a movie falls at the Director's feet. His direction is nothing great either - while he does effects and action well, he does everything else very poorly, which makes for a poor film, which is a storytelling medium.

He also has steered the whole ship - he has asked for the kinds of scripts and designs he has gotten. He's openly stated his involvement. ROTF - that's all him. The first movie had much more TF in it until he got involved and nixed it all, including overhauling designs and creating ugliness like Apescream and went with his own vision entirely, which is when the TF name became just a label to sell tickets.

"TF name" has always been a label to sell something.

he got more involved in ROTF, because they had no writters, because of the writters strike.

If they can save this franchise, I will be impressed. Especially if they find a way to fix all the errors and make the first four movies feel like a part of this Cinematic Universe.
