I think New Japan hired Jim Ross and Matt Striker to do play by play for their international broadcasts.

Possibly. But I have my doubts on that. It's equally possible that the kid was at RAW as a Make-a-Wish beneficiary.

If the kid was not really a cancer victim, the revelation can tarnish John Cena and WWE's contributions to Make-a-Wish.

So...why continue wasting your own time and raising your own blood pressure watching WWE, when the program doesn't impress you at all? Your time's more valuable than that.

I want to know if there's any proof of this since Cena is the all time biggest granter of wishes for the Make-a-Wish foundation. Every time he's in town and grants a wish, the kids are invited to the show with VIP treatment. There's a few occasion's that they become part of the show.

Was responding to Rodimus74's suspicions that "the kid wasn't even sick" and was just a plant.

I personally don't think WWE would ever take that route. They and Cena have invested so much working with Make-a-Wish, they would likely receive significant backlash if they tried to use a paid actor.

Now, whether WWE's work with Make-a-Wish is just "exploitation"...they'll have to check with the children's families about that.

This is how you react to me saying the first 90 minutes were great? I enjoyed the first half of Raw, then the show lost my attention. I continued watching because I didn't know the second half was going to suck. I don't watch WWE every week anymore but I love Pro Wrestling and sometimes I dont mind sifting through the garbage to find a few gems, other times I watch or do something else. I assure you if I am ever as upset as you think I am, I will change the channel.

There's one thing good that came out of WWE and I'm gonna spell it out for you. N-X-T.

I'm willing to bet the kid is a real cancer victim probably someone Make-a-wish. That WWE planted for their segment. If true that is pretty low of WWE to use that kid's illness to make Cena look good.

Cena isn't the only one who participates in Make-a-Wish.

Well, what's wrong with the child's hero (Cena) acknowledging the kid's battle in a positive, public way? That kid is going to remember that for a long time. Cena was speaking to that child, as much as he's pandering to us.

Maybe Cena's contributions to Make-a-Wish are a calculated PR move. But he does take the time and effort to meet these sick children, and give them encouragement. If people have made up their minds that it's all just PR with no good intentions, Cena and WWE are in a no-win situation whether they continue/discontinue working with Make-a-Wish.

And if it is exploitation, then wouldn't this mean Make-a-Wish is complicit in all this? They're the organization with the infrastructure and resources that's made all these children available for any celebrity and organization (not just WWE wrestlers) to exploit for good PR. Why should you or I even support Make-a-Wish and similar children's orgs, then?

Wow does the TNA World Title need to be refurbished. Looking at it on Angle's Shoulder it's missing 1/4 of it's stones and is coming off the Leather.

"Cost-cutting", probably. But at least the title is as physically messed up as Angle.

Bret Hart talked about the Owen Hart DVD WWE is producing. He's on board with the DVD about his brother; Owen's widow isn't.

This isn't news any more than the "sun came up today." There's no point in WWE investing time and money in a guy that really never wanted to be there when they were. They might be willing to do an appearance to promote a WCW or Goldberg DVD, but that's about the extent of it.

Funny story. I once called Goldberg a pussy almost to his face.

Back when I was around 18 or 19, I worked at the Sabres arena here in Buffalo. One night, I was working a wrestling event. A co-worker and I were walking down a hall in the back and were talking about Goldberg being at the show. I remember say "Goldberg is a pussy." No sooner did the words leave my mouth, we both noticed a rather large individual using the payphone about 10 feet away. He raises his head and turns it to the side to look at us. Needless to say, my co-worker ran one way, and I ran the other.

Oh I did. I worked for the company that ran all the concession stands in the arena, so I hid in the commissary (where all the popcorn, etc. is made) for a while.

It was so fun working the wrestling events. I think the nicest wrestler was Mick Foley. He came back into the commissary looking for weapons for his match. We gave him some baking sheets, a hockey stick, and a few garbage cans. Awesome dude!

Seriously, I want to hear your take on who else is cool, and who are not.

Bad News for Tyson Kidd. And possibly bad for Samoa Joe too.

Here's a list of the wrestlers I remember meeting:

Ken Shamrock - Cool dude. Asked me for directions to the airport.

Mark Henry - Scary but nice guy.

Steve Austin - Actually a very funny dude. I remember him running laps around the back just acting goofy.

Ric Flair - Funny guy. Walked around the arena all day yelling 'Woo'

Scott Steiner - Kind of rude. Took up most of the space in the elevator and didn't seem to care.

The Rock - Cool guy. Very humble. Ironed his own clothes.

Billy Gun - Nice guy. Needed help getting his suit coat off. He was scared to split it in the back.

Big Show - Really nice guy. My wife worked in the restaurant at the arena at the time. He was ordering some food to go. My wife is like 5'4" and he could tell she was kind of intimidated so he asked for a chair so he could sit and be more face to face while he ordered. She finally ended up sitting on his lap.

Marc Mero & Sable - Both kind of jerks. Full of themselves.

Kane - Didn't talk much. Kept to himself.

Goldberg was on Colt Cabana's podcast a bit ago, he seems like an alright dude.
