That Hercules looks sweet but I'm hoping someone does an undersized CW Devy. That said if I have some leftover cash in the near future this screams impulse buy.

 

Please note that that first one is from the very first run of the CHMS KO Optimus Prime. It's the "LE-09 Voyager Unshattered Glass Konvoy Blue". Instead of painted damage, it has blue paint decos based on the Henkei toy's paint pattern. It also has G1 Decepticon symbols on it, not SG Autobot symbols.

That second one seems to be from the second mold of the KO, much higher quality. Almost identical to the Botcon toy.

The third one is the higher quality version. It's black, colored like the Takara Nemsis prime, but it has SG Autobot symbols, something never done by Hasbro or Takara on the black color of that mold.

 

Got my order in from Sirtoys and it's flawless. I've only torn into a few of them but I am so pleased with this purchase.

 

I remember there used to be bootlegs of Animated Starscream in Movie Starscream's colors, Cybertronian glyphs included. They copied the Voyager Animated toy.

I liked the design choice they made with that toy, and am still bummed that I didn't buy it when I had the chance.

I am definitely going to pick up the V2 from Paul also as I prefer the sizing if hes going to face off with the other CW combiners.

I still own one of those dodgy X-Transbots Devy upgrade sets from a few years ago. I wonder if one could use some of those bits on KO Herc?
I also have an unused set of the China reissue gift set Hasbro Devastators which I need to dust off and sell as he is redundant.

If only Nemesis had the faceplate like the Takara one I probably would jump on this as well.

Have you been able to tell if Stinger's faceplate comes down? I've got the Bumblebee version and it clearly isn't completely attached, but it does seem stuck enough that I'm afraid to force it.

 

I want someone to KO Maketoys giant. The amount of times that company gets ko'd I'm surprised no one did their Devastator.

 

I've never seen Hercules in person, but it looks simpler. If it's simpler and bigger, that may be why. They like big toys and it's less effort.

Who knows.

I'd be very tempted to get a KO Giant.

 

Update on Hercules...... multiple transformations (three) from combined to separate modes will wear the connector pegs, they still work and haven't drastically rounded off, but are not as solid as they were the first time. So the plastic, though it feels good quality, is a little weaker than my first impression. Still great for the price, but playwear is happening very quickly.

Great to display with other combiners as a "Display piece", but not a durable "toy" sadly.

 

swap heads from one with a faceplate, paint it yourself, problem solved... unless you are wanting a direct copy of the expo nemesis? that would ruin what the expo nemesis is - rare.

haven't tried to force mine either... but it is great for the price, just a tad too big...

that sucks to hear bro - everyone talks about future polish - any chance that'd clear up the wearing of the plastic?

No, the plastic has a waxy consistency on the connecter port and pegs. The green plastic is sturdy and made of better stuff, but the black parts are a little softer. I might try casting some new parts or seek out some new connecters. Its not a deal breaker for me, as I was taking a gamble for kit bash material and was expecting a lot lower quality than I received.

 

I just received that Optimus and he's a bit flimsy but friggin huge. Do you have anything specific you wanted to know? As I'm not as enthralled with him as I thought I'd be I would sell him if you were interested. I'd cut you a deal and all and shipping would be way cheaper than from ST as I'm in the US. (unless you're not!)
