Whilst you are all loving CW Wave 3, I am still loving the hell out of Star Saber. Honest to god, this figure still makes me so happy.

 

^ I know exactly what you mean. I smile every time I look at it. I have to pick it up and mess with it daily and I never get sick of seeing people's photos of it. I'd love to get Yuki's autograph on the box or on the wing someday!

 

Finally got MP Star Saber!!!! Loving the hell out of it!!! Bring on MP DESZARAS (not Deathsaurus!)

 

He is here finally!This guy is amazing,from what people were reporting about it feelin "cheap" and stuff,i dont feel that at all.I mean granted he is not SOC but he is by far the most fun MP ever made.He is made to fiddle with and posed dynamically.Mine thankfully doesnt have the loose left elbow issue.He can hold his sword with his left hand easily.Its as strong as his right but admittedly both could have been a bit stronger.Are there any other known issues apart from that?Havent tranformed him back to jet mode and his combined jet mode yet.Here are a few pics:

He is heavier that FT's Soar ,lighter than Scoria,MP-22 and C-Stack

 

Yup he doesn't feel cheap at all, Yuki made the right choice by making it mostly colored plastics as he's made to be fiddled, transformed & posed over and over and over again........

 

Get Yuki to sign one wing and Hideyuki Tanaka to sign the other 

 

I just opened my Star Saber and hes pretty badass! Right out the box my have a stress mark. =(...

I own the G1 Star Saber and the plastic is a lot better on the G1 toy!

 

I thought Stack was lighted for his size but MP24 SS is even lighter....he must have lots of hollow space then.

 

Yup the lower legs which fold up to become jet parts is mostly hollow. Luckily the jet booster parts are die cast pieces.

 

This guy is a good figure but I hate to say it but mines already back in its box. Going to be selling him and Magnus soon.

 

Ah the same thing happened to me a few years ago..when I wasn't feeling anymore of my 2 big MPs. I decided to let go of my MP-8 Grimlock & MP-10 Convoy.

But a year later I had sellers remorse & started to actively seek 'em back. I have both back in my collection but they're now the Hasbro versions..  

 

I was going to get this but it scales with classics so I passed on it. Did they ever even have the brain master pilot do anything on the toon besides brain set? I always wonder

 

Not that I can recall.

 

Similar, except I didn't even open the box and sold him immediately. I just didn't want to be tempted because I know I would absolutely love MP Star Saber and wouldn't want to part with it. But he just doesn't fit in my collection (quite literally, since he wouldn't fit on the shelves), and with money becoming an issue I decided I could use the money better on a TF/3rd party figure that I really want.

No, never. He was only used to pilot the jet and he was there for the transformation sequence. This annoyed me quite a bit. Especially with Star Saber there was a reason for him to have the brain do something. For example, in one episode his adopted son, Jean, goes to school and Saber is asked to sign certain papers. His Brainmaster could do this easily, but that doesn't happen and instead he agrees to send the signed papers later.

ATPs Sword Hilt Adaptor fits nicely and my SS can now hold his sword firmly.

 

Talk about photobombing 

 

Well it's good to know there's a fix for the sword issue.

Wonder if there's a fix for mad photobombing DJD members.
