I bet just like the TakaraTomy Masterpiece figures imported by Hasbro Australia, that importing direct from Japan will still be cheaper than buying this version.

Lucky Aussies! I wish we had some Takara figures available in the UK. (And then I still wouldn't buy them because they're too expensive.)

It'll be guaranteed to be much more expensive then simply importing it. This doesn't even slightly make me reconsider my pre-orders from Japan of the Unite Warriors.

The MP Star Saber and Ultra Magnus imports, for example, retailed at $300 each!

So if you live in the US you're forbidden to buy this? I'm not familiar with how the toy game works

Regardless of where you live, pre-order from a trusted Japanese retailer and pay the discounted price.

No you're allowed but people wanted to have this at retail.

But it has all the animals that can kill me? :p

...but again, they DID release Quickslinger. YOu have the option of buying your precious G1 character and have the complete, original lineup on your shelves.

    These aren't G1 toys.

    I nee to ask. What's a "Stuntican"?

Also, they're, not "there", and I don't even know what "hace" means.
    Did you mean "have"?

And just because Hasbro wants to add new team members does not make them wrong.

    This isn't G1.
It's heavily based on it, yes, but it's still it's own thing.
Combiner Wars and Unite Warriors don't need to conform to the old '84 designs.

    Deal with it.

Glad for them I have my Hasbro Superion and I am fine with it.

Does this mean they won't get individual figures at retail like I guess Takara isn't doing.

You can't seem to convince some of those anti-Hasbro people they have and before Takara even at lower than retail prices an some sites.

Some of them even think Takara made Hasbro do it some how.

I just want to say that I love that they went with "Skyboom Shield" for the daftest-looking shield ever made.

Still cool that you Aussies are getting this.

We tend to get most Hasbro releases here, though occasionally we'll miss out on an entire line or be months behind the US and the rest of the world.

in this case we have had all of wave 1 combiner wars for several months, and some people have managed to pick them up on sale for as little as AU$22.50 for deluxes.

the Wave 2 Deluxes have turned up at one NSW chain for AU$30 which is about RRP.

There have been limited numbers of wave two turning up at other places but they disappeared in a hurry.

We are in a lucky space here, often having access to Takara release items through low shipping costs and occasionally seeing Takara items released as exclusives here. This last 8 to 10 months has seen a trend start with Goktimus Prime of the OTCA boards being employed by Hasbro Australia to provide translations and western market modifications to Masterpiece releases. They have all been TRU exclusives and not cheap, eg: AU$100 for Takara MP Prowl and AU$300 for Takara MP Star Sabre. An exception to that is a local release of the Takara Deluxe Stinger which is sitting at Australian deluxe RRP of $30, also a TRU exclusive.

The drawback is we don't usually hear about the Australian import happening until those of us who are super keen have already pre-ordered/paid from an online store months in advance, so the sales here might not be as high as they could be making future imports potentially less attractive to Australian retailers.
Myer picked up the Transformers Prime Unicron and Optimus 2 pack which shelf warmed for months, they got it late and it was expensive (I can't remember how much) it ended up going on clearance for about AU$30 which is a steal given the RRP for Voyagers here is about AU$45 - $50.

haha, I think I got carried away.
it will be interesting to see if we get the Protectobots five pack here eventually. that would be cool given it appears to be a limited release.

It costs to much for me personally (a minor) so I rely on second hand stores for transformers xD
