Well, this is before the Combiner Wars, so Rodimus posse had found the fembots and solve the mysteries of Vis Vitalis and did some more hijinks before he got summoned by Optimus and said "Bah, who cares, here, I give you some first responder bots who had done nothing but helping Megatron, and a delusional one who failed to compete with Swerve!"
I'm saying that chronologically we have: MTMTE 41/42 (Mirage possibly gets Space Barnacle'd)-Combiner Wars (Mirage unconscious on the way to Cybertron.
I had the same thought. I know it's not only used by them, but it's what sprung to mind. I'm also thinking it's some kind of IDW-ized Space Barnacles. Solid issue, but not great.
Gah! I thought it was too good to be true. Well the Technobots may well make a comeback to push the toys. What happened to the team were some offed in one of the old IDW sagas? Stormbringer?
Nosecone, Afterburner and Lightspeed all died during Chaos: Nosecone was killed then eaten by Sweeps and Afterburner and Lightspeed blew themselves up along with Kimia.
That might take a bit more than Ratchet to fix. I do know that the combining macguffin in Starscream's possession heals and potentially revives too.
To me he was one of my favorite Micromasters. There are people here who are fans of Transformers even without the fiction. Because we had imagination.
It's like the Boba Fett example. He's in 2 Star Wars movies for 5 minutes max and dies like a loser but everyone loves him.
Heh. I loved G1 Micromasters. Just because of their scale they were like tailored for interacting with humans without creating problems with writing. And for their level of simplicity I still think their toys were pretty cool. Also liked how Budiansky hinted them them as street-level superheroes. I think having a spin-off series when they do basically a superhero stuff against human villains would be a cool lighthearted comic book. Well, obviously not in IDWverse.
I must admit I love Ravage in this issue and especially when he spoke to Bluestreak. I think the cat is space barnacled already. As for Mirage it will be interesting see how he got sick in first place.
Is that... Is that art of Tailgate opening the Matrix on his hoverboard? No no, that was actually their spark brothers Nosebone, Afterbruner, and Lichtspeed. The 3 missing Technobots are chilling on a beach on Hedonia
Yeah, Ten drew it for him (and made the hoverboard as well). Were Nosebone, Afterbruner and Lichtspeed friends of Bluster?
I love how, not only did Ravage decide to stay on, he's casually interacting with the crew. Admittedly, it's probably better for the master spy that he's not seen as suspicious when he's out and about. Poor Ravage at the end though- all those space barnacles staring at him
Anyone curious that Thunderclash might not be actually dead? What if he had that mysterious medic kind of take him out of his body?
well, we know he's not dead, cause he's on life-support and sending people messages and stuff. but i am wondering if he pulled a magnus or something now that you mention it. we'll see Thunderclash outside of his armor and he's shorter than short Minimus. Rodimus would love that so much (though not as much as if Thunderclash were actually dead) now that I think about it, do you think maybe his body has reverse attention deflectors in it? like, so other people HAVE to pay attention to him, and occasionally credit the actions of others to him?
I liked the issue. I'm happy there was no driving plot.... its was just context to characters and locations which I assume are then used for later stories. I always enjoyed the Autobot's interest in watching "As the Kitchen Sinks" and adaption of other cultures. I'd write more but I need to run out for some highlighters.
So... I assume we're going to get the cop buddy drama with Rodimus and Megs having to save the day. It seems they were the only two that didn't go to the other ship.
Yep, I think they're going to have to actually work together rather than try and out plan each other or take turns sulk... Err, I mean 'taking stock'.
