It's not bad, it's just not a Masterpiece. I feel exactly the same way about DX9's Invisible. Scatman's legs are unfinished - the open, kibbly panels need to be more refined, and the Porsche needs to be more accurate.

 

I wouldn't call it a home run, and I think it will arrive much later than the 3rd quarter estimate, but I can't believe how much hate this thing is getting. It's quite worthy as presented (although I worry how well the actual toy will fair).

 

I'm not saying it's perfect. I'm saying it is worthy.

Justitoys is different, only so much you can do with an accurate G1 Optimus trailer. The Justitoys one has their company name on the box, FT does not. The noticible difference for the two trailers is FT has the arms that swing out to brace the sides when the trailer opens like the G1 toy, the Justitoys one has the two verticle rods slide straight down like in the pic Slave shared (which I believe is more like a real truck trailer).

Some like how this non-official version of Jazz looks, others do not. Those who like this guy and don't want to wait for Takara to get around to finally releasing their MP version of Jazz (because honestly, who the hell knows when that will actually happen), will more than likely buy this version.

I'm one of those who will be preordering this guys, just so I can have a good looking MP scale Jazz to display next to Prowl. Jazz is my second favorite Transformer ( Sideswipe being my favorite) and I would love to finally have a version of him that doesn't look woefully out of place next to my MPs.

I have Spin Out (Sunstreaker) on order just so I have a nice looking MP scale to display next to MP Sideswipe (Tigertrack just does not cut it). The only Sunny I have that comes anywhere close to looking somewhat decent next to MP12, is Asterisk Sunstreaker.

So while these 3rd parties may have their issues in the eyes of some, I look forward to being able to display these decent looking pieces next to my MPs, until the official Takara Masterpiece is finally released.

Hope the visor gets hit with a nice bright blue paint.

The leg kibble could be better, mainly the way it pokes out past the front of the lower leg.

Also would like to see how the back looks with door wings tucked away. Looks like it might be less than ideal. I'm seeing the canopy moved all the way down to his butt/upper thigh.

It's a really nice attempt and with some refinement could be near perfect.

The listing I read on toy sites states an alternate face is included, it will be interesting to see the coloring and expression.

 

Certainly looks interesting, but I'll wait for more than a render from a brand new company before I crown it king of the toys and throw money at my screen.

 

How about Soar's alternate face's expression?

 

Anyone in the know? What's the downside to temporarily licensing to hasbro... is it all in the name of not wanting to dilute their image? or is it that they want too much money and hasbro can't fork out the bucks...

If no disasters befall this figure (scatman) and TT doesn't release one first, I'll probably double down on this badboy... cankle kibble and all

 

Not bad, but with some minor mods he could look more better.

 

I don't care what anyone says, I believe in my personal opinion, This is THE Jazz that is perfect and TT will have trouble making this any better. Super Job! I pre-ordered 3 at BBTS and have waited years for this kind of perfection! We went from nothing to perfection in one night! Pay the man! I want this...and Then there was 1 !!! (Trailbreaker here we come, fingers crossed)
