    I agree with all of them I think that the lips got to go, 'cause most of us remember Prime with his faceplate and that's it. So thats my opinion.

    Not a flame - love to see that after the previews that the crew is working on some changes.

    I like what I see, but as you (Bay and crew) took great care with Optimus to bring the voice and the look as close to the show as you could and still stick with your design for this film, the face plate would be the last peice to bridge that gulf.

    If you can - pls bring back the plate to all the shots and keep our favorite Bot as he was. Thanks!

    I've kinda accepted that they seem to really want a mouth behind the faceplate, but the one shown looks horrible. It diminishes the character by making him look like a dope.

    Funky lips or not, what if we don't like the entire face?

    I would rather have seen more G1-style faces using some kind of metal mesh skin.

    Couldn't agree more. The mask brings mystery to an otherwise iconic figure.

    Also, it seems to me that over-animating characters seems to be the norm when it comes CGI. It's like the fx studios feel they need to show off their new toys. As a result the majority of CGI characters move like Jar Jar binks.

    To all 3D animators for the movies please tone down the jerky/quick body animations and keep the movement of hair, accessories, and othes misc. items down to a minimum! /rant off

    I actually like Prime's lips to be shown but hope it gets redone. The main reason I want his battle mask down during normal times is that I'm sure that when he puts it up for battle, especially for the first time, I'm going to be in ecstacy. I don't think I'll get as excited if I see his faceplate/battle mask up right from the get-go.

    Sounding off squarely in the 'keep the faceplate' camp. It's iconic, it's simple, it's what the fans want...and hey, it probably saves ILM alot of time = saving a lot of money on rendering.

    Driving down the bottom line while keeping the fanbase happy? Brilliant!
