I so hope this means that Alts will continue. They've yet to use the Scion mold for a repaint (a very easy Ironhide or blaster from BT* Broadblast) and a Frenzy would rock. And if another new one just happens to pop up, I'd buy it.

As for this being a SDCC exclusive, well if it keeps the line alive, I'm for it. It'll make hunting down the wee beastie all the more challenging.

 

Yeah. If they're doing those 2-at-a-time releases, Rodimus and a blue Frenzy would be great.

 

I am cool with Hasbro doing anything to give this line a chance to continue.

I like the new deco on the hood. I think I may prefer the kiss play version but Its nice to see they changed it up a bit.

 

I like but if it's not retail or a Botcon exclusive I won't bother.

I read the Chinese post, the guy saw it at a friend's house, it shows the visor gimmick is carried over, but since the friend won't open the box, he can't confirm for sure, so he just took 2 pictures.

I say it's real, but hope it not to be a SDCC exclusive, because I'm not going this year  

 

remember it was only like a month between seeing the first camshaft on an auction site ( first news anyone had heard about it) and then it went to retail

We first got a "black Dodge Ram" listing from Action-HQ back in March 2006, got the name "Tranemesis Prime" a few days later, got the first rumor of him being an SDCC exclusive in May and saw the first in-packaging pics a few days after that.

Because no at show Botcon toy since FP took over has had a box, the situation as far as we know is that Alts aren't available to Botcon for exclusives, it has a barcode (which makes sense for international releases and the Hasbro Toy shop with SDCC), Hasbro indicated there likely would be an exclusive for SDCC again this year and this wouldn't fit in the Classics set theme.
