Strongarm is clogging the pegs at every store here so I'll probably have to order these guys online.

Jazz is such a great figure. The only real complaint I have with it is the lack paint/show accurate details, but I know Reprolabels will fix that so I'm not at all worried.

Sideswipe is... Okay. Great looking robot and alt mode (aside from different shades of red) but his arms will not stay pegged in and it makes fiddling with him not as fun as some of the others in the line.

    Good news.

I think its cool that Jazz's episode aired yesterday in the states, and now kids can go get him.

I honestly can't stop laughing at the psychotic look Jazz has on his box art. "Buy me or I'm going to kill you." Haha. But seriously. When you look at the box art, then at the toy, then at the box art, you kind of wonder if the people who put the paint apps on the toy just got lazy or something. I watched emgo's review and honestly the paint on the figure is SEVERLY LACKING.

I heard Sideswipe is really bad. His transformation into alt mode is crappy cause you can't roll him because his chest piece sticks out. Look on amazon.com their are two reviews about how bad he is.

Box art is crap. Toys look like crap. Cheap designs. The feet are just big chunks of the rear of the cars split in half. Just pure lazy. And Hasbro seems to be on a roll with cheapening the figures even more with the new and not improved clip on wheels where round pieces of plastic are slapped around extruded sticks of plastic from the body of the figure. Bet they are as hollow as crap too. Sorry not wasting my money on such shoddy, lazy, and obviously no pride in the work "Transformers."

Found these last night at a Walmart in Connecticut. I feel the same way about Sideswipe. I wonder if some thickening of the posts would help.

Its too bad that this line feels so damn "cheap". There are some decent designs.

Jazz is more than worth it. I would would advise against skipping him if you are a Jazz fan.

After around 12 hours of curing the Pledge on my Sideswipe's pegs/holes doesn't seem to have helped at all. I didn't really think it would, but it was worth a shot. Looks like I'll be waiting for someone else to come up with a fix for it and see how it goes.

Jazz is seriously the best figure of the line so far for me. I almost passed him up due to the stock art online having his back panel not transformed, but I'm so glad I got him.

-Sideswipe looks good but is actually crap

Sounds like this confirms the new Eastern coast port of entry - how do these appear on both coasts BEFORE anywhere else? Maybe they came in on both coasts?

Yeah, the cheapness bothers me more than the simplicity. Have you seen the GIANT R.I.D. Bumblebee yet? :lol  I think your head would explode....

The plastic on that thing is so thin, you can actually fold and snap off chunks (very much feels like that). But I must be wrong - this thing went through play tests, theoretically, so can it really snap off dangerous shard of thin plastic??? Maybe we're just waiting for that news story to hit all the papers? :lol

The simplicity, I like: the G1 toys weren't complicated Rubrix cubes of 25 Ikea instruction steps to transform! :banghead:  We can keep things simple and fun, just like G1, without sacrificing quality.

It's the cheaping out on plastic, screws, and pins that's really hurting the brand. We talk about how they look and feel, but think about how long these things will last. :rolleyes2  I doubt these will survive 30 years like the solidly-built G1's! And you can't even blame it on GPS, this time!

I have no interest in the figure? Check. Have I spotted them a few times? Yup.

I'm pretty pleased with the entire RID line. They're toys. Fun ones at that.

Couldn't disagree more. These are fun figures and that is the most important thing.
