Seeing these RID figures just continues to depress me. Oh well more money to go to figures worth spending money on I guess.

^This, But luckily, Combiner Wars exist, and the only RID figures I'm currently collecting are the Legends.

But I am Kind curious about the Kreo's current quality, I haven't bought any since ether wave 2 or 3 of the Micro changers.

Jazz looks like he needs some reprolabels.

    This is not G1 Jazz....

Also you use Prowl as an example:

There's a huge difference between G1, BW (times two!), RID, Energon, Animated, and Prime Prowls....

This is one of the reasons I still love AEC. For the most part, a character's name didn't automatically give you an idea of who they were because of G1.

For better or worse, Ironhide, Jetfire, Smokescreen, Mirage, Cyclonus, Scourge, etc.. They were all totally different characters. I loved it.

I'd still love to take the toyline and basic premise and do a new comic... but it's not as popular as G1 so it'll never happen.

I believe the fault can be placed on inflation and less of a budget, with more kids turning to video games, not to mention numerous complaints about previous lines featuring transformations that were too complex for the kids Hasbro was trying to sell them to.

That being said, I would like to have seen Voyager Class figures for characters like Grimlock or Underbite who are clearly larger than, say, Bumblebee or Steeljaw.

Another fucking Optimus Prime toy. Joy. Look, I love Optimus as much as anyone else, but this is supposed to be Bumblebee's season and Cullen really needs to reprise his other roles. Because I'm getting sick of seeing Optimus everywhere.

I get it! I finally figured out why I find the general aesthetic of the vehicle modes off-putting: Jazz being my case in point (though it applies to the other hero-bots too) - they look like those wood-block racers that kids make at 4H or whatever. Not knocking on those things, because they're cool in their way, but I can't shake that it's what these guys look like, and it kills any ability for me to enjoy them as an adult.

Oh well. Just picked up Swerve and Cosmos.... LOVE.

Coming from a CW superion owner, I can tell You now that they are great figures. And don't feel cheap at all. They feel like any other generations figure we have gotten in the past.

The rid figures I own all feel fine as well, bumblebee, drift, and optimus are great figures. Bashing a Line cause grimlocks arms break if u bend them backwards (THE HORROR) is completely unfair

I admit the rid line has its faults, they certainly are less detailed figures, but If rid has to be made a bit cheaper because they are pushing out the CW line then I'm all for it.

I partially agree with that, CW has a Leaders, Voyagers, Deluxe's, and Legends (Scouts). But most importantly no Warrior Class BS, the entire problem with Transformers is present in RID. Now yes Generation toys are bad, but I still like/want some, it's a guilty pleasure.

Almost every Toy decision since 2010, has been bad: PCC (I liked them), Construct Bots, Bot Shots, and Angry Birds But these had some fans, and they were sublines.

But RID is almost unanimously hated, and that's good, the only way to help Hasbro is to boycott bad figures, and point out the flaws.

    Warriors:
1 Too simple - this is why Hasbro has 1 & 3 Step changers
    2 Clip on wheels
    3 Ratcheting joints
    4 Thin plastic
    5 Lacking Heals

1 Step, 3 Step, Deployers and Mini-cons, Mega Optimus - Everything is wrapped around a simple transformation Gimmick (but with some clever engineering), YouTube Reviews point out it's Gimmick and give a not for collectors grade, but Kids watch the Youtube reviews, and those toys will shelf warm, because kids don't want simple toys.

Kids want toys that have durability, and potential play patterns, RID does not offer a variety of a play system, but instead relies on cheep Gimmicks. We need to put the Transformation back in the Transformers system.

Transformers needs Durability, because I can not see this Fandom growing. Unless Hasbro wants to rebrand Transformers, and the only way they can do that is if Fans left the fandom.

What is up with you people, that you cannot literately accept that people genuinely like certain line? Christ Almighty, the mental gymnastics you people do to justify that is amazing.

Yep, that Jazz needs a visor. I wonder if it will take the head from generations Jazz?

Same here! No ones going to want to find wave 3 warrior and one step changers :D
Of course, I love both CW and RID. They do their jobs well and exceed at it.
    That would be Steeljaw.
