Orange tip out of barrel. Getting to accessories in a bit.

Here an interesting question, what number is on the inside of the top flat of your figure?

My figure is flawless. Again, box, shoulders, paint everything. My number was 022.

Careful! Big Darth looks like he's eyeing off that brand-spanking new gun of yours! He might try to nick Megatron from you, like he did with Han Solo's blaster in Empire Strikes Back! :D

Just wanted to chime in on the Agabyss.com talk around here. Agabyss.com is run by my good friend Hany. He has been selling on ebay and has about 10 years of 100% positive feedback.

Now, I am not an impartial spokesman as I am now his web designer, sys admin, tech support... the list goes on. :)  But if my word around here is worth anything you can rest assured he is legit, and not a newbie by any means.

So if you want check him out, there are few Apollyons still left, as well as many other items. The current store stock is probably less then 10% of everything he has. Keep an eye on the website as a lot more will be going up.

I think I'm going to cancel my second figure and hold out for the black version with brown grips shown on facebook. I have an ehobby megs like that so will be cool to have a different one.

Damn. I want that, but I don't want to have to buy from X-TB again and it's not on my list. I guess sometimes you just have to pass on things.

Tweezers are best for getting the head out of the torso.

HOWEVER, You might not need to turn to "yank really hard" for the torso. Mine was super stiff and I didn't want to yank it. What I've found really helps is if you open up the door, flip up the head, then you can push down on the torso from the top rather than yank down on it. It gives you a bit of leverage. You also can see the little cover strip that I'm always worried might get stuck/ broken one day.

Likewise when going from bot to gun rather than just yanking down on the arms to get the metal bits out you can open the head cavity door and push the armature down from the inside. It makes it quite a bit easier and I'm not as worried about eventually bending an armature that way.

Just did the transformation today and I'm inclined to agree with your post. He's an impressive feat of engineering, but it felt way too often that I was going to break something while transforming him. In particular the fingers and the arm transformation bar seem like an accident waiting to happen. I don't know what they could have done in place of the bar system for the arms, but it feels like it carries way too much weight while your trying to transform everything else. The fingers are just fragile being so tiny. Another oddity is the bar that swings out on the waist for the arm bar to get clearance. Not only is it super delicate, but I discovered if I lifted the waist up on mine, I didn't even need to move it to swing out the arm bars. I see a log of parts coming loose as time goes on for people. The use of the (+) joint for the stock is also bad as I've seen a reviewer or two break it already. He's definitely not something I'll pick up and transform out of boredom. For the people who are saying his transformation is infinitely better than Mp-5, I'm terrified at the though of what a hunk of junk that thing must have been.

On the plus side mine was in excellent condition when it arrived and the bot mode is about perfect next to MP10. The fact they've actually made him transform is impressive in its own right. This figure is clearly a labor of love, and I am happy with my purchase.

I believe Dalianjj said they aren't interested in doing Megs. I also don't think they are looking to do probable TT releases either.

No doubt a TT version would be more durable and very likely more intuitive and less fiddly. The question is would it look as good? I don't think it would be a hack job by any means, but I think there are likely compromises in a less fiddly Megatron.

Open the flap where the head goes and push down the torso a bit as you work it.

Be careful lifting or tilting the upper torso too much. You can snap the hooks in the front that hold it onto the abdomen.

As for MP5, I don't remember it being nearly as fiddly or frightening a transformation. If the legs were thicker, canon was smaller, and the headsculpt was better, people would have been clamoring for nothing more than an MP10 scale version.

    EDIT - here ya go

After transforming him from bot to gun then back to bot for the second time, I got to say that the figure would greatly benefit from some notches cut for finger nails to grab a hold of. Instead I have to use a tool to aid in the transformation while I fear of scratching the paint. Specifically those damn crotch tabs, once they're folded over each other for gun mode they're a huge pain to flip out. As well as the white shoulder blocks, the neck joint, wrist joints, and that pesky swingarm cover on his back.

Sounds like this will be the second MP Megatron I do not transform.

After messing with him some more, he just gets better to me. I am never TF'ing him so I understand people being upset with issues due to TF'ing. But I got to ask, do any of you guys complaining about the plastic/materials or kibble, have any seekers?

I love the seekers, BUT they have cheap feeling plastics. Hasbro Thundercracker and Sunstorm are tight, BUT TT Starscream (mp-11) is very loose. Hasbro Skywarp is also very thin plastic.

If you are on the fence, and like 'cons, GET HIM. He's everything I hoped.

Who could ever stop these two together?
