Having Legends Groove in hand, he is so much better as a Legends figure.

Cyclonus isn't a real jet, so I can excuse that. It's such an out there looking thing, but even then I'm not sure.

...but yeah, I'll probably just get Streetsise and not buy the rest,

Groove is the only Protectobot I don't like in CW, since he's kinda...weird and lanky. He sorta looks like a worse version of the Legends Animated Prowl from a while back.

Ooh, here's an unpopular opinion: Defensor is the only G1 combiner I've ever really given a shit about, and the Protectobots are the CW toys I'm most looking forward to. I skipped all of the Stunticons and Aerialbots, and have no intention of buying the Combaticons. But Defensor? GIMME GIMME GIMME GIMME

Maybe it's just me, but, I feel like arguing about scale is kinda silly. Don't get me wrong, it'd be nice, but, have we ever really been given TF toys that are perfect in scale? We get a few here or there, but I feel like it's a pipe dream, to be honest.

i don't care much about vehicle scale but it's robot scale i care more about and that's why i love CW magnus. he's the size magnus should be. that's why tiny legends rodimus sucks in my opinion. he should be in between deluxe and voyager height.

    alternators/kiss players.

I personally do not care for thrillin' 30's brainstorm.

I agree. But I am not a fan of anything with a "Cybertronian ..." alt mode.

I might have agreed with you, had I been able to find it at all. The one time it was spotted in my town, it was gone before I could get there. It was sighted in a town nearby, but I couldn't get over there. I'll assume it's gone as well.

Especially when it comes to Groove and Blast Off like really guys why do you care? Wreck Gar and Chromia are Deluxe motorcycles no one moaned about scale issues then and if Blast Off has such huge scale issues with the rest of the combaticons well here's a newsflash none of the combaticons are in scale with each other. Defensor and Bruticus have always had scale issues you can't fix that by shrinking members, replacing members or whatever.

But he's always had a Cybetronian altmode. Or I guess maybe a Nebulon altmode. Anyhoo I like his update.

I think they're the coolest looking combiner behind Predaking.

    I said "we've gotten a few, here or there", didn't I?

But, even with those, my point still stands: Perfect scale is a rare beast in TF toys, especially the moment combiners get thrown in the mix. If we take the early depictions of the Combaticons from IDW as an example, Blast Off was f%&kin huge! If they were in scale, he would be the torso of a deformed, hobbling (or hopping), one-armed Bruticus, because Swindle is not even close in size with the other three! If he was an arm, he'd look like a stump; if he was a leg, Bruticus would have to hop around on either Vortex, Brawl, or Onslaught while Swindle just dangled in the air!

For me, when it comes to combiners, just take the scale and throw it out the nearest window, you'll drive yourself crazy expecting Hasbro or Takara to achieve perfect scale.

I think it depends on how easily they could have done scale. I'm fine with deluxe jets, the same size as cars, but things like Ultra Magnus' pointlessly tiny door, or if so and so is a deluxe instead of voyager, bug me.

Last I checked neither of those two are designed around a static core torso inside which sits the universal connector peg. Or a part of them that can be arranged into a flat surface with a 5mm port to fit the combiner foot/hand component.

People throw around that dumb-ass scale argument all the time but that's never been the problem - it's a problem of mass. Even the deluxe bikes, you can't tell me they don't look skinny.
