Just finished up this commissioned leader Prime. It's my 5th version of this figure. Modifications include the UFO hands, blue LED swap and metal smoke stacks. This figure is a pain to take apart, especially the mid section.. but after the 5th time I could probably take this figure apart and put him back together in my sleep. I'm not sure if that's a good thing or bad thing :p  Enjoy the pics, the full album can be seen on my Concepts in Chrome Facebook page. Thanks for looking!

That looks stunning!  and as someone who would like to try their hand at doing the whole "colored chome" look on plastic, may I ask as to how you managed to do it? (No specifics. Just a general method, I understand that everyone needs to have their own style :thumbs2: )

Wow. Chrome, glorious chrome! That's just gorgeous!

I take it it'll be too fragile to transform?

What paints did you use? And was it an airbrush or just spray bottles or dry brush? Looks like Airbrush to me but I have been wrong before.

    Thanks guys!

Thank you! The chrome method I use is called vacuum metalizing.

This particular figure was designed to stay in bot mode. It can transform but it would have to be done very slowly and carefully because the joints tend to get really tight after the chroming process.

Thanks! As I noted above, this figure was designed to stay in bot mode.

    :rock

The paints used are Tamiya clears applied over the chrome via airbrush.

    :thumbs2:
