I wish they would come out with a Megatron that actually transforms into a fully functional Nerf gun of some kind. Heck, I wouldn't mind if they made a giant titan class Megatron that transformed into a crank chaingun or an arm mounted Fusion cannon. I just feel he needs to be bigger than just a sidearm.

Megatron's original name in TF: Prime was Megatronus before the war started. Optimus even called him that by mistake when Optimus had forgotten who he was. Once Megatron disbanded the cons at the end of Predacons Rising he likely went back to that original pre-war name.

Or I'm totally wrong and he's the Fallen.

honestly, its starting to sound like america has stricter laws on toy guns than we do on real guns.

They need to make toys of Prowl and Ironhide (or have them appear first in the show then give them toys)

    Well I want toys. Now.

The game's quality doesn't do them justice, I get a sense of G1 meets Movie meets WF/FOC with Ironhide. And Megatronus is.... wow.

Hope those aren't show designs, because Ironhide and Prowl look really bad.

Megatronus. I heard that name in connection to the 13 Primes. I suspect that the Megatron and Megatronus may be different. Well Optimus had another Prime that wasn't Alpha Trion in an episode. I think the show is going hint on Primacy.

It's not about "laws getting more strict", it's about "Hasbro being super-duper conservative and trying to get retailers stock their product", in addition to maybe just possibly not wanting to associate Transformers with firearm replicas.

I mean, on the one hand, these are very recent Nerf products available at US retail:

Anything that is possible for Nerf should theoretically also be possible for Transformers.

On the other hand, Nerf blasters are "Ages 8+", so...

That's the hypocrisy and irony that is Hasbro. TF dept? ABSOLUTELY NO FIREARMS EVVVVVVER!!!!
Nerf dept, next door? "How can we make this look more like a rifle?"

I mean, these same parents will buy nerf rifle replicas, but Hasbro claims they turn their noses on TF guns? What?

Especially idiotic when things like this exist (FROM HASBRO):

Its true; there's law giving everyone the right to bear "arms."
No such law for the right to bear toys.

...But what would you rather transform into as the leader of an army?... a gun.....or a tank.

Gun Megatron never did make sense for me. Especially since he's carried by Starscream of all people.

Brawl is combaticon TANK created (and shortly commanded) by SS. By your logic, it makes equal nonsense for Megs to turn into something SS can command. :lol

But the toy need not be constricted to bad fiction - just cause the cartoon made it STUPID does not mean the toy should suffer and become a Brawl derivative.

At this point, however, I think we're closer to a converting NERF BLASTER than a TF toy that turns into a gun! :lolol

No thanks, an oversized gun was terrible to display with figures in the 80's and is terrible today. Yes it has role play value but that's it.

Looking forward to the figures of these guys if made. They are g1 enough that with a proper head would work well in a Classics display.

'Megatronus', such a generic and lazy name for a pre-Megatron. Can't believe they're sticking with that :lol

If Cyclonus becomes a major tyrant then we shall rename him 'Cyclon'. He will kick Ultra Magn's ass! Arise Optim Prime.

Gun Megs are cool, its like tforming into a 'F**k you'
