Yep, still gonna buy this guy. It's a giant Devastator that can actually combine and has voyager sized (albeit with legends posability) Constructicons. And not sure why but I have this sinking feeling that he'll be available at or around the time of Botcon in a similar fashion to Metroplex. C'mon BBTS, bring in the wall of Devastators!
Money-wise: Giant is better. Economic-wise: Titan Davastator I still hope for 3rd parties to come out with slightly improvements. Looks like it is clip on wheels. I hope 3rd parties could come up with rubber tires replacements.
My goodness there's a bunch of negative nillies in here. I think it looks AWESOME. It's BIG. It looks almost exactly like the original G1 toy from my childhood but MASSIVE. It's gonna look freaking sweet next to my other toys. I don't care that one or two individual robot's elbows don't bend cause I wouldn't bend their elbows anyway. 95% of the time this will be displayed AS Devastator! I want it.
That's the one thing for me, the one tiny thing that I find utterly inexcusable with this whole set. Clip-on wheels are fine on an RID deluxe, but asking $150 from us yet they can't even attach the wheels with simple friggin' pins? Not for me.
A nice combiner. The individual bots could have used a bit more love, but combined mode is ace. Must buy.
Wow what a piece of crap. The huge big for nothing size sucks. Mixmaster transforms into a toilet on wheels. Some individual bots lack elbow articulation. And it appears the wheels pop on and off. Its really a shame this figure was executed with all kinds of wrong because Superion, Menasor, and Defensor are pretty cool. Oh well, Hercules for the win !!!!
Just for fun, I straightened out the box photo. (It might be a bit squashed or stretched vertically.)
He's still not transformed correctly, the wheels at his waist should be up in his armpits, filling in the gaps up there and giving him less of a brick-esque appearance.
