A "one-per-year limb giveaway" would not have its own giftset box, especially not before the first member was even released.

Actually, that would be nice to revisit. Not for G2, but for some other combiner. Liokaiser would be ideal... hear me out... (this isn't a perfect plan, but just an idea)

Have a member of Liokaiser be the freebie for several years. Each one would get a new head. Then later that year, the Rescue Force version of that member is also available, be in the subscription or a separate purchase. Naturally, some new Rescue Force decos would be needed for the new members. The Voyager would be the only issue, as he'd need two new heads...

But with 7 team members (counting Deathcobra) and instant repaint potential (new characters with NAMES this time!), even if the Voyager has to be sold as a separate entity, that's at least 6 years worth of figures.

In any case... I think having the G2 decos be plantinum boxed sets (NOT SDCC!) would make the people who want them happy as they'd be easy to get (preorder!) and still look nifty.

If we're not careful with our desire for more combiners, we might get an announcement tease that we're getting one via the club... and get a miniature G2 or SG Sixturbo. :)

That's an interesting idea, but not necessarily a good one for the club. Locking in the next six years of freebies prevents them from pouncing on the next big thing in a couple years. Say 2017's new iteration of Generations is "Nebulon Wars" and we get a bunch of -Masters. The club can't have a Nightbeat->Minerva repaint/remold as their freebie in 2019, then. I'd join the club that year for that freebie, but probably don't need a 12th combiner (that's a guess at how many I end up owning). Also, CW is hot now, but will it still be a club draw in four years?

Personally, I think they should strike while the iron is hot and then get out - in 2017 put out a new Nexus Maximus for the sub service (announced next year at Botcon - it's probably too late to affect TFSS 4.0) or an exclusive boxed set.

Some people have pointed that out, which logic dictates that this is not a SDCC or BotCon exclusive.

I wouldn't mind more aerialbots in more colors, it would help the fact their transformation scheme (and general shapes) are more samey than cars. Also, doing G2 is a natural choice to buy time between new sculpts.

How/where? As a spare sixth member? The artwork shows Slingshot present and using the Firefly/ight mold, and surely Fireflight will use the Firefly/ight mold too.

Unless they truly troll us, and omit Fireflight or Skydive, and give us G2 Alpha Bravo instead...

(we've already seen G2-colored Air Raid, using the CW Air Raid mold, so he's "safe")

I think it is ridiculous to even question it, but then I remember that something even more ridiculous actually happened to create the doubt. Hasbro only has themselves to blame - at some point, good or bad, you have to know who you are dealing with.

My real concerns here are him having enough paint to look good, and having the other combiners to complete the set. I hate going down a road and never reaching the destination. I definitely would like to see G2 Bruticus, Menasor, and Defensor to match. I know I speak for a lot of us when I say that if Menasor and Defensor were done and done properly, it would be one of the most special releases ever for a lot of us. Definitely not the kind of stuff that should be funneled through the scam club. Time for these figures to be enjoyed without being dicked over in the process.

Then, if TakaraTomy can do Battle Gaia, Guard City, and Valdigus - I will have combiner perfection! MWA HAHAHAHAHA

Ugh, the dreaded subscription service. The insane concept of hey lets mix lots of toy lines just to make sure people end up with several figures they don't want every time just to get the few figures they wanted.
