Just as I thought, makes me shudder to think the price of trypticon.

 

After looking at that review I feel I have to echo peaces' question as I don't see much of a difference between these and the last reissue. Certainly not any difference worth the higher price.

 

I'll agree. I was able to get this set for $60 and it still feels like I paid too much. I passed on the previous reissue for $35 several times. $40 would have been great, $50 acceptable. $80 is nonsense.

I love the box art and I'm a sucker so I gtabbed these over the weekend. I'll display them with my originals and with the reissues!

 

My Kmarts still have these at almost $100. No one is buying them it seems.

I won the ebay auction that was posted much earlier in the thread, it ended at a little over $50. Would love another set, but $50 is the max I'd pay for these again.

The Insecticons are currently warming the shelves at the Temple City, CA K-Mart.

Probably lots of other places, too, but that's a SoCal store I can verify having seen it at several times.

It's a lose/lose situation. They price them so high, nobody buys, they don't make anymore reissues.
