What's not to get? The Sea of Rust is a place, Victorion and her components are from that place. Also, it's not a literal sea, it's basically a wasteland and or/ancient city that was completely oxidised in some cataclysm long before the war. We'll find out what kind of Transformers are from there when Victorion is introduced.
An independent Transformer is the same as an independent human. Someone who looks after themselves, a lone wolf etc.

To the people saying they hope Nautica is a part of Victorion, bear in mind that Victorion is an entirely new bunch of characters, and submarine alt-mode and purple, yellow, and white colour scheme weren't voting options (2x cars and 2x jets will be her limbs and I'm pretty sure orange, blue and grey won colour scheme). Also, she's kind of on the Lost Light, which is not where Combiner Hunters is set. So... yeah.

 

You could probably get Nautica by remolding Generations Arcee. You basically swap the outer car-shell with that of a of a submarine and change the head for a visored one.

Even the 'back-pack' could be used to store Nautica's tools.

maybe the independent part is they are like a group that travels from one place to another in the Sea of Rust, fighting bad guys who ruined the lives of the local inhabitants there, they are the savior for the population who lived in the Sea of Rust because no police force from any government on Cybertron cared that much about that Primus forsaken place or their police force sucked balls, just because they were busy dealing with the Autobot Decepticon wars, thus no time for them to look at a place that may have no profit for what ever nations of Cybertron,

the Victorion ladies are essentially their own personal & private peacekeeping force that may put whatever Marvel & DC comics to shame, not affiliated to any government or organization, they maybe aren't mercenaries or PMC's either, not going for the Energon chips, just plain going Superman on this shit, a volunteer work, thus an independent organization,

i hope the staff in charge of the Victorion characterization project ain't trolling us with a stupid pop culture reference, with the ladies being some sort of parody of the magical girl manga & anime genre, like Sailor Moon for example *shudders*

That sounds very drastic of a retool but considering what Hasbro was able to do with Sandstorm and to a lesser extent Chromia...they could pull it off.

Actually, I hope they do the Seacons in Combiner Wars eventually because I also want God Neptune, who was comprised of Pirates (and a female).

 

If that means we get a modern, articulated version of the hilarious nightmare fuel that was Scylla's alt mode, I am ALL FOR IT.
