Which characters from the films were based on figures from the toyline? Well, EVERYONE, really. I don't think there's been a Transformer in the films who doesn't have roots in a previously released toy to some degree. Now, that being said, many of the movie characters are radical reinterpretations of those characters in terms of characterization and/or appearance (such as Blackout and Barricade), to the point where some are effectively completely different characters who just share a name with others, while other movie characters are much closer to what is considered "iconic" for characters with that name.

Since Hasbro is a toy company, the films are used to promote the brand and support a toyline, meaning if a transformer appears in the film, there's a good chance it's because Hasbro is looking to sell a toy of it.

I love it whenever someone makes an otherwise impregnable post like: "Has anyone really been far even as decided to use even go want to do look more like?" And there's always one person that somehow understands, and is like: "Yeahhh, you're looking for a WFC Starscream."

Anyways as for the thread topic, all the characters appearing in the movie got toys except for the likes of Dino and Brains. Otherwise the characters were created in concept art, and the toys were manufactured based on that.

I know my English is nowhere near perfect and I was born and raised in the U.S..
I just think it's better he hear it now so he can work on it, because I literally didn't know what he was saying.

    Device Label.

I would have expected a legends figure at the very least.

Yeah but he would look horrible, the reason Blaster worker was because he's composed of squares, What do they have to work with? the only computer parts I can reckonize on him are keyboards keys on the back of his arms and then there's the problem of the the fibre optic(?) hair.

    Corrected for your a..uh..browsing pleasure.

I don't know if the truely terrible error I made is comparable to the OP given that I'm sure most people got a fair understanding of what I wrote.

Not everyone has English as their first or even secondary language.

Consider being more opened minded regarding that.

Obviously, all I did was make a light hearted post calling them out on it.

You should check out this thing called "the concept of humour" you might like it.
