If you are only taking into account moulds designed to be hot rod then you are missing these two



Soooo, animated is probably gonna be a bunch of peoples choice, energon/superlink not as much, but still worthy of equal representation imo

Oh and kiss players hot rod as well, but ain't no one gonna miss him, not when the MUCH less creepy alternators version is in the list   though you are counting a straight up color variant of the same mould and character, soooo

i REALLY REALLY wish they gave us an voyager version of the IDW hot rod. that would be awesome.

 

Cloud and Animated, they are great toys that don't have many problems, the classics toy is just too flawed in it's articulation and the face weird.

 

G1 Hot Rod and Henkei Hot Rodimus.

G1 Hot Rod is the only vintage G1 figure that I sometimes contemplate about getting. I still like it somehow. But I don't collect vintage figures...

I also want a Voyager of IDW Rodimus. Instead they gave us an expensive repaint of Springer...

 

Energon because you can combine him with Optimus Prime. Come on, thats pretty cool.

 

the classics hot rod is just a major bummer all around.

hot rod may have been my favorite character as a kid.. but wow the classics version missed the mark.

the articulation sucks, the joints suck, his hollow elbows are strange. his head is just way wrong all around. it looks nothing like hot rod. i honestly don't know how they came up with a head like that.

the color scheme is bleh.. the spoiler isn't as prominent in robot mode as i'd like.

and one of the reasons i liked hot rod as a kid was because of his triple exaust arm guns. i always thought those were awesome. well, on the classics, he's only got two exhausts, and they're not present on his arms like they should be.

anyways. i totally forgot about the kiss hot rod.. that mold is definitely my favorite binaltech mold.. and i LOVE that the fishing pole is able to turn into one of his triple exhaust guns. so.. i like animated and the kiss version.

 

Classics and Alternators...which is kind of sad since neither one is that great.

Well, let me ask this: what's wrong with the Titanium figure?

 

Love the vehicle modes on G1 Hot Rod and Rodimus Prime.

Mega Scf Rodimus is my favourite though. I know he doesn't transform but he looks nice with G1 Prowl and Springer.

I do like Energon Rodimus.

Looking forward to getting Cw Hot Rod.

Honourable mention to Revoltech Rodimus. His cheeky grin captures the spirit of Mtmte Rodimus.

 

Its robot mode proportions are WAAAAAAAAY off, its alt mode looks super small next to figures of comparable height in bot mode, it had a tendency to get pretty floppy over time, and the face is no where near as mature looking as it should be for Rodimus Prime

It's definetly one of the better titanium figures, but IMO not one of the better Rodimii

Out of curiosity, did you just forget the others, or did you leave them off intentionally?

 

I forgot them. I did notice I left Animated, SG, etc. out after the fact. I seriously wish they would let you edit the polls.

 

Animated. Plus a lot of the figures up there are better than the fragile qc mess called mp rodimus prime.

 

I hated how the Titanium Rodimus could never look good while standing... it always looked like it was bending slightly forward. If you can't even pull off a decent standing pose, you suck.

We need a new Rodimus figure in Generations. And I don't mean that upcoming Blackjack retool.

 

Actually, mine can bend his knees back a little, which fixes his hunch. I bent the shoulders back one and positioned the forearms accordingly, and now he stands fine to me.

 

Classics and Animated. Energon gets an honorable mention. I have to agree that Hot Rod/ Rodimus hasn't received a great toy yet. Even the Masterpiece needs a do-over.
