These kinds of things do happen and if it's delayed well then hey it's delayed. If anything it means we may have less of a wait between reveals provided the Tuesday release of the first two remains the standard. Plus we don't know just how many takes these videos take. They aren't filled in advance and there's likely a lot of effort taken to get everything looking right and to get the information they need to get out put in the video properly.

That in mind I don't think there is a single fandom that doesn't joke about delays or extended waits, it's just something they all kinda do for a quick laugh when stuff like this pops up. I doubt any of it, included the stuff here, is meant to be taken personally or at anyone's expense. Hell stop by the nintendo/amiibo reddit pages one of these days, it's practically nothing but people joking about preorder releases not going up.

Anyways hope you're feeling better Pete, you should know more than anyone how exhausting conventions can be especially when you're a part of running them.

i get some are bummed that the reveal didnt happen but good lord. its just a video reveal. the club could just start doing reveals at the convention and not show a damn thing before.

i get it if it was registration or something but a video reveal of a figure and ppl this bent out of hell over it is crazy.

Speaking of pre-registration, I'm really hoping we get to pre-register earlier than 2 weeks before the show like GIJoeCon did.

Except for the part about these figures being directly related to the Primus attendee package, if people are going to drop $350+ on a package for the box set most of them would like to know what they are before hand.

And they do keep a lot of their reveals hidden until the show, around 7-10 exclusives aren't shown until the show itself.

I sympathize, since I get upset when a webcomic I read updates irregular for the 2nd time. Because I've become emotionally invested I feel jerked around even though it's something I get for free.
but timely updates are not any part of what FunPub's customers pay for, unfortunately.
I don't know that the damage is that significant, but not only is it a lesser factor in the profitability of the company, Pete's decided what the expressed company values are when he allows himself to do the PR this way.

If that was all you needed, we would have had a new online store before the credit card fraud happened, like the certified webdesigner offered.

    Thats just mean man.

Anyways, I'm still excited and the wait just makes the reveal more
Delicious. I know sometimes you set goals, and things happen just happen that push them back.

I can understand both sides of this argument. Though I have to side with Pete here. While yes, he should've made a bit more of a realistic date, we need to not be so impatient. It's not like it's orders for the toys. As long as they keep up with the one a week schedule, I don't see the big deal here.

Same here. I can appreciate the whole "being more wiped out than expected" thing too. I've personally had weeks at work which have been flat-out hectic to the point when you finally stop your first instinct is to throw the brakes on and recharge. Considering a con probably means a few days of not sleeping, plus weeks of late nights beforehand getting things ready, yeah... I think we can excuse a delay of a toy reveal.

Anyhow, chaps, I do believe Matty asked you to pull back on trolling the man.

In all honesty, Pete not only has to put up with our BS, he also has to put up with their technical incompetence when it comes to creative solutions for media rollouts and registration periods. Dude's got a tough gig.

I didn't think anyone was actually trying to be mean to Pete. I thought it was all good natured jabbing, but maybe I misread the intention behind some of the replies. I know I wasn't trying to be mean.

Not trying to be. Just observing that it was funny that Pete said he wouldn't time stamp himself and then he does it again. LOL! That's not hating, that's just laughing at someone making a goof.

    :lolol

    I wasn't aware of that.

I think it's better not announcing before hand. I like the element of surprise.

In that last interview on the Cybercast Pete from Botcon kept dancing around Flywheels... then pretty much confirmed they are NOT doing Flywheels for the convention, but would listen for if a lot of people requested it.

I just don't get that. They went with a minimalist approach to the color palette for Battletrap (blue/gray/pink highlights), mimicking the original, which really needs an accompanying Flywheels with similar minimalism (brown/maroon/purple(?) highlights).

This isn't even a one-of-out-three deal like Spinister (leaving the other Decepticon double Targetmasters, Quake and Needlenose, for TFCon). This is halfway there. They just needed to use one more slot to have updates for all of the Duocons, which has already been demonstrated at least once by a proficient Radicon.

Flywheels and Battletrap? Gotta have 'em.

Battletrap only? Not interested so much. :(

Battletrap was originally supposed to be one of the pirates last year. Maybe they can't do Flywheels because Hasbro is doing it, or it will be at BotCon 2016?
