I ALMOST had to leave the Walmart on 535 this morning without Air Raid. Seems that for some reason none of the stockers like checking things in before they stock them. However thanks to the awesome manager I dealt with there named Joe I was able to purchase Air Raid and finally complete Superion. The limbs are $19.97 there now BTW.
East Colonial Walmart had the CW 2 limbs and they were ringing up $7!!!!! This was Monday. They had 1 CW Armada Megs too. Target on Gandy in Tampa has 2 Brainstorms.
With the end of spring break season almost over Panama City area is just now starting to get wave one cw stuff in.
Target on Courtenay Pkwy in Merritt Island had one each of the CW Megatrons (G1 and Armada) at $44.99 each. They had a ton of the Legenda Wave with Powerglide, Huffer, and Blackjack.
If anyone's going to Megacon, could you see if there's anyone selling used GI Joe and Power Rangers stuff as well as Transformers? I need to go up to Orlando in a few days to start looking for apartments and if the dealer's room is good then I'll head up for Sunday.
I went today (Friday) and overall it was a really good experience. They had satellite parking off of Universal, but it really wasn't crowded enough today for us to use it. Buying tickets in the walk-in line was no big deal, took about 40 minutes with about 500 in line. If I had been paying cash, it would've been half that. Overall, I was very disappointed at the overall Transformers selection. Mike's Comics booth and Convention Exclusives had their typical scalper rates. Other than a couple of vintage dealers, very few places had any and those that did had lousy selection. I was really hoping to see MP Ultra Magnus, but I couldn't find any. I really couldn't find more than 2-3 MP. There was so much Pokemon and Funko that I think it pushed out a lot of the "nostalgia" toys. I hardly saw any MOTU, GI Joe, or Transformers. Good for Funko, but kind of sad. I think a lot of dealers kept saying they brought a lot less this year for economic reasons and travel costs. I'd be interested to see if Junior's Toys would agree with that. Their booth was about 1/3 the size of the one they had at the Tampa con.
Both 974 is the store of TFW board member Junior (the store is Junior's Toy Box.' He should have some TFs, and some other stuff as well. Also, the Mulberry Walmart had a couple sets of Combiner Wars wave 2 Deluxes, and a couple Legends as well.
There was one really organized booth (but really tight) at the end of row 100 that had mini-figures. They had been at the Tampa con as well. Junior's Toy Box had a good selection including a Grey Hulk. Nothing else stands out as really good. One booth had a bunch of them thrown into a bucket.
Entertainment Earth has one each of the CW Megatrons with damaged boxes at $38.25 each. Hey Pinellas colllectors: Curious if anyone has gone by Emerald City to inquire about the limited release of "Quick-Slinger" and "Break-Neck." You know, the whole limited Diamond release thing? Oh, not from retail, but from BBTS, Offroad came in. Not over zealous about the "backback" looking bot form, but the colors, both modes, are beautiful!
