Got mine yesterday... Overall a really nice figure but it didn't wow me like MP-22.

My gripes:

- The left elbow seems weaker than the right.
- I had to disassemble the left hip ratchet and coat it with super glue to tighten it. There was too much play between ratchet clicks.
- The long sword handle not pegging and the other one pegging in a ping pong paddle position. Ordered the shapeways part for that.

 

Notice how the glue actually melted the black/dark grey plastic? I sure did.

nah, I won't be messing with mine if it has that issue when it arrives. i'll just deal. I feel it ruins the overall value of a figure if you make alterations in this way. idk. for me I'd rather find a less destructive way to try to fix things like that.

 

@Anubis20: Hugo regarding the left arm problem, that seems to be the most common QC regarding this release.

Btw a few pages back, I posted a simple fix for the loose left arm by Cax6ton. Hope you'll try it..I did & it worked like a charm! Lol  

 

I dont like altering my figures either but when they are internal fixes that cant be seen such as what i did to the hip i have no problems with it.

Yea the elbow doesnt bug me as much because im not putting any accessories on his left arm but i wouldnt mind a fix for it. Thanks ill check it out.

 

I do not know what you're talking about. Super Glue does not melt plastic. You can use any acrylic based product instead of super glue (which the major ingredient is acrylic).

 

well it sort of does melt plastic as the glue has a chemical reaction with the plastic as part of the bonding process , really noticable on cheaper plastic

Same here, mine landed in airport-customs on the 26th, should've been delivered this Monday but local customs put it into retention  

I hoped to get at least the pick-up note before Easter, but nothing so far. It's not like I look forward to pay the fees to release him, but damn I just want this beast of a toy already

The figure is f*cking incredible, but yes, it's a damn pain to take out Saber of the bigger body. xD

 

I'm hoping for a 3P add on kit for articulated hands & bigger sword by either Dr Wu or KFC whichever comes first. Well in due time I guess..

Bro don't worry sooner or later you'll get the hang of it. Once you're used to it, it should take you less than a min for Saber to be released from the V Star chest cavity. I posted a do's & don'ts many pages about this subject.

Whatever it is the back button MUST be pressed when releasing him.

 

Just got mine today, good QC no real issues to report

Fixed the antenna issue, just file down or cut the protruding nub on the interior of the clip at the bottom of the antenna



Pretty sure others have come to the came conclusion, but wanted to share just in case

Also not understanding the problems others are having docking and undocking saber in the various modes

 

Me either. He was very easy to snap into place and then pull out. No button press needed.

 

Mine is frighteningly difficult to undock from big-bot mode. I've put him in a number of times trying to find some safe, "sweet spot" but no matter what it's like I'm going to break a finger (or worse, the toy!) trying to get him back out. With or without the button, doesn't seem to matter.
