So does Robotkingdom charge immediately when you pre-order or when the items are in stock? I forget...

For me these are bought on sight. I'm not going to bother with a pre-order. Slingshot and Wildrider will be my Aerialbot/Stunticon reservists.

I'm glad Hasbro is thinking ahead so that 3rd Parties won't be able to make money out of us

Hopefully BBTS will have these up for preorder in the next day or so.

With these guys being exclusives from Hasbro I wouldn't be surprised if BBTS doesn't do preorders for them, and they just pop up in stock next month.

The first hint of them we ever got was via a TRU listing that was later confirmed by a second TRU employee.

Thus far we don't know the exact details of their future availability.

I've been trying to decide which combiner teams I am going to try and collect, the Stunticons and Aerialbots are cool but I might go with the Protectobots and Combaticons (when they come out). That being said I'm glad they're making Slingshot and Wildrider for the line.

After talking to a lot of friends who have their own toy lines, it is stupidly expensive in 2015 to make new molds for toys. I remember reading an interview with a Hologram Sculptor for Hasbro's Visionaries line back in the late 80's and he said Hasbro would not think anything of throwing thousands of dollars into a toyline, only to say "Eh, scrap it." and just cancel the entire line. What they paid him to do his work, was enough to put a down payment on a house!

Fast forward to 2015 were toys are not as big with kids as they were 20+ years ago, oil costs are higher and steel molds in China are expensive, Hasbro has to figure out how to get the most bang for their buck. A steel mold can typically hold X amount of parts, so they may have to think

"Ok, if we want to have Slingshot and Wildrider in the line, they're only new parts will be the head. We can fit an extra head or two on the mold and unfortunately nothing else."

Same thing when you look at Blades: they may have had a certain amount to spend on new parts for the Protectobots and had to decide how to disperse it. Making toys is stupidly complicated sometimes.

In the other thread, Sidecutter said he was informed that they weren't supposed to be put up yet, but if you want to order them then to e-mail him.
