They have to keep retailers happy, too. It gives them a much wider range for reaching potential customers. If only Hasbro sold Hasbro products, even though they're getting a bigger percentage of the cut, the amount of people buying from them would be a hell of a lot less.

With so many different stores -- both online and off -- to ship product to, it can't be easy to keep everything balanced.

 

Hasbro's been playing us (no pun intended) all along. Not only is today April Fool's Day but also the start of a new quarter on the calendar.

I work for the government, a new quarter starts today: April through June of the fiscal year. Businesses most likely use calendar years: today starts a new quarter too.

What a way to boost profits for a certain quarter, miraculously release figures that have been pre-ordered or out of stock in March and start shipping them. The charges to everyone's accounts will kick in and up goes the profits. Bravo!

Dock-strike impact or comic book non-availability, I doubt it.

Take a look back since 2007, a movie line usually released in May or June of those respective years. Same quarter as mentioned above.

That's an expensive profit boost, since they had to give free overnight shipping to a shit ton of people. FedEx overnight shipping is $25-$75 per package, I'm sure HTS gets a bulk discount, but giving free shipping that's more expensive than the actual item (especially people who ordered 305 times) is not worth it for some accounting shennanigans

so... my package got sent from jonestown, PA which is about 96 miles away from my house. now it's in newark new jersey. which is 86 miles from me.

just seems odd for it to head east passed me.

oh well, i guess we'll see tomorrow (today, thursday) if it makes it here.
