I have to agree that, as screwy as the color choices for Starscream (and now Skywarp) are, they are only part of the problem with this MP mold overall. Topped with the small size and lacking ability to really stand or pose, it's the mold design itself that throws me off more than anything. I can't place it, but something just never looked right. I don't know if it's the small & oddly detailed heads/faces or if it's the stretched out looking 'bubble' chest, but there's something about this design that's just... off. Something that makes it look out of proportion imo.

As for the addition of diecast to Skywarp, I think that's kind of a burn to anyone who bought Starscream. Now they not only have a horribly colored version of ol' Screamer, but its quality compared to Skywarp will likely be inferior as well. Seems to be that they're making the QC corrections with Skywarp that they should have done from the start with Starscream, in turn making that figure even more obsolete in comparsion. Makes you wonder what else they'll do to Thundercracker, and if they'll ever go back to make the proper adjustments to SS, and if necessary, SW as well. In the process, it's too bad that the buying public have to be the guinea-pigs that the QC is tested on *before* they make the necessary upgrades & improvements.

It's too bad that any of this is the issue that it's become, but when you're paying over $100 per (lackluster) figure, it's not as easy to turn a blind eye to as a $30 Alternator.

 

Oh man, that "gritted teeth" expression is a lump of pure congealed hilarity.  
It looks like he was trying to conjure up a smile for his driver license photo and failed miserably.

 

Looks like he has toothache - I'll be sticking to the standard face methinks.

 

Maybe I'm just better at posing my TFs than a lot of other people, but mine hasn't toppled over once.

I liked MP Starscream's colour.

 

That face really needed "angry eyes" to go with the grimace.

Why does he have teeth though? A hate to sound ******ed but G1 Skywarp never had teeth. (no G1 had teeth in robot mode.)

 

I'm gonna pretend he doesn't have the gritted teeth face and that he only has one.

 

They did sometimes in the comics. Just be glad he's not crying (which they also did in the comics).

Is he purple everywhere he is supposed to be? I can not remember it looks very plain to me. Could be just the stickers missing thought.

 

The gritted teeth are whack. And I don't see 'high handed' in the other face at all.

Yeah, still buying it, though, and hoping to see an anime SS eventually.

 

I don't need the stand either - My STARSCREAM stands just fine (even with his leg kibble swung right back, altering his centre of gravity). Just jiggle the jet nozzles a little and he's easy to pose.

 

There was nothing wrong with Starscream's colors. But that debate will never get resolved.

I just wish my Starscream had 2 different heads - mine has the same face on both sides. And it's not the smirk, either.

 

Not a comic reader...so I missed seeing TF's cry...which is pretty stupid along with this goofy smile/teeth...

Unless I see this SW for $30 or less...pass...

 

He looks constipated with the "gritting teeth" and the eyes on that expression just sell the idea.
