I think you just got a dud. Hearing and seeing others, it doesn't sound like it should be a battle just to install the horns. Good for Toy Dojo to exchange it. My mouse cursor is still floating around the "place order" button. I got the Fewture Ultimetal Prime and was very impressed with it, and this head looks equally impressive even if it's just a statue....

Yeah, I'm glad to see the original poster is getting an exchange. There was way too much wrong with his for Artstorm prices.

Interesting that 3 of you have had a go at trying to insert horns. When I looked at mine I could see also that the holes where much smaller but experience putting on daughters doll heads I knew the trick is to angle and twist back and fourth. Maybe it is just technique for I would imagine the mold to be reliable, unless the holes are cut by machine, either way it is vinyl/rubber and therefore is bendable.

It makes sense the holes would be smaller, I would of probably just left it in hot water for 10-15 mins to make the plastic flexible. Afterwards, you could just slide it in :)

(Or break out the KY ;)  )

How do you insert the eyes? Do they just plug right in or is the face removeable?

tried that with the horns but made them too pliable to plug in and the paint became really really soft to the point i could have pealed it off

With the paint flaking off so easily I was scared to put in water. Looks like that was a good call.

I received my Unicron Head today and also had trouble fitting the horns. I wish I'd seen this thread first, but anyway I also went with the hair dryer route and that worked out for me. I'm sure a bunch of paint was scraped during the twisting but it's all underneath the join where no-one can see it. I don't think you could ever remove them again to store the head away or sell on.

There's no way I can see to attach them with a simple twist as the instructions seemed to show.

In the end I'm very happy with how everything looks, and I haven't spotted any flaws (touch wood). I made a quick unboxing video on it tonight if anyone would be interested to see it

I'm very interested in getting one of these, but this thread worries me. Also, is there a stand or anything that comes with this or do you just pretty much set it down and that's it?
